Last week, the kids and I enjoyed a staycation at the Omni Chicago Hotel . Located in the heart of the Magnificent rental car insurance Mile, the Omni Chicago is a four star diamond rated luxury hotel, with all the perks that make a family hotel stay enjoyable and dare I say it - restful.
We live in a northside Chicago neighborhood, Logan Square rental car insurance , and though Chicago's Mag Mile is an El train ride away for us, our staycation in this "fancy" hotel gave us a chance to stay just steps away from some of our favorite shops, restaurants and sights. It's not every day that we can stroll past the old Water Tower, dine and shop at the new Water Tower Place (hello, Lego Store and American Girl Place!), and then head back "home" to a peaceful haven where the beds are made and turned down, where there are no dishes to wash and no toys to pick up.

The deluxe, rental car insurance separate living and sleeping areas, both featuring large flat screen televisions, meant that I could put my daughter to bed while my son enjoyed some late night cartoons.

Of special note was the breakfast buffet offered at the in-hotel 676 Restaurant . What a delight it was to roll out of bed and enjoy breakfast in this bright dining room overlooking rental car insurance Michigan Avenue! The buffet was brimming with healthy rental car insurance goods for kids, including a huge selection of freshly cut up fruit, a kids-sized oatmeal station featuring a variety of healthy toppings, a delicious selection of fresh breads and jams, and so much more. I appreciated the fact that 676 features fresh and organic goods from local farmers, rental car insurance and I liked to read the origin of each item. In my experience as a travel focused blogger, I rarely come across a hotel that works hard to create a rich yet affordable and healthy menu with a local emphasis. Our breakfast at 676 gave us plenty of healthy fuel to get our busy day underway. Perhaps best of all, as part of the Camp Omni package, kids under 12 dine for free!
