Stay close to Adventure and save on your tickets at the Holiday Inn Anaheim hotel near Disneyland. T

This isn't the first time USA Travel Guide has ventured to the rugged west in search of obnoxiously over-branded entertainment. We've discussed Disney lands, worlds and whatnots so many times, I wouldn't last minute travel discounts even suffer last minute travel discounts accusations of being in the old mouse's pocket. (Unfortunately, we're not).
But then again, last minute travel discounts we've never really focused on Disneyland's plucky younger brother, Disney California Adventure . With Spring Break incoming, and summer vacations not too far behind, the time felt right to throw on those ears once again. Join us, won't you?
While it may always live in the shadow of its iconic neighbor, Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, California offers an action-packed day of fun for families and couples, especially if they have "Park Hopper" tickets. With more than a decade now under its belt, it's fair to say that California Adventure is sufficiently part of the Disneyland experience.
Which isn't to say it's not an odd bird. The park's guiding theme, a Disney-fied tour of California, can be seen as a whimsical love letter to one of the country's largest and most diverse last minute travel discounts states. Or, it can be seen as profoundly redundant. Several of the attractions and park zones are inspired by landmarks that you can see for real within just a couple hours' drive. Santa Monica Pier, the beaches of Los Angeles, the Hollywood back lots, the Hollywood sign – all very big Los Angeles attractions, all within 60 miles.
Hollywood Pictures Backlot – A journey into the magical world of Hollywood past and present. Most of the rides are inspired by popular film and TV series, including the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (a rendition of the Disneyworld favorite), Monsters, Inc. Mike Sully to the Rescue!, and Disney's Aladdin, one of the park's largest musical shows.
Paradise Pier – Another sticking point at Disney California Adventure. This "classic boardwalk" inspired zone will either charm you with its throwback style, or it will come across as too simple. We dig the decidedly un-Disney design last minute travel discounts and the high-quality carnival rides. Some haters were silenced in summer 2010, when they introduced the dazzling "World of Color" water show. See it here.
Golden State – Supposedly dedicated to California's great outdoors, the Golden State area is a little manic, but it has some of the best rides. Soarin' Over California is a wicked "hang glider" experience, and Grizzly River Run is a top notch water rafting ride.
A Bug's Land – What this has to do with California I really couldn't tell you, but it is one of the park's neatest zones. A Bug's Land casts you in the role of Flik from A Bug's Life , surrounding you with giant-sized objects from the human world.
Disney California Adventure is currently undergoing a major renovation, or "re-imagineering", to bring the park more in line with other Disney parks and to offer more zones and attractions. Most of the projects are slated to be completed in 2012, but the park is still fully operational and well worth your visit.
Stay close to Adventure and save on your tickets at the Holiday Inn Anaheim hotel near Disneyland. This relaxing and family-friendly hotel offers a number of Disneyland hotel deals , all featuring multiday Park Hopper tickets so you have time to get the best out of the entire Disneyland Resort. Plus, it's just a great Anaheim hotel: resort-style pool, game room, kids eat free program, free parking, shuttle to Disneyland and more.
California Adventure is big step up for amusement parks like 6-Flags, a big step. Although it doesn t have the magic of Disneyland. It s a great alterntive if you want a break from the Magic Kingdom and if you want to really splurge the Grand California Hotel, is awsome, especially if your room overlooks the Grizzly River falls.
Love visiting Disneyland and California Adventure. CA Adventure has such a unique vibe, like Conner said, unlike any other regular amusement park. Love the Disneyland for adults vibe. When my friends and I go, we usually stay at Hilton Anaheim (www.hiltonanaheimhotel.com) since it s so close and so beautiful for the price. Can t wait to visit Anaheim again soon!
My favorite ride is Tower of Terror that one is just so classic. I absolutely hated the big ferris wheel that has tilting cars not sure if it is still there but my friends and I called it the sun wheel of death. This was no normal ferris wheel the cars started swinging back and forth so hard! When we went around 1 time and asked to get off because we were literally sick to our stomachs, the controllers wouldn t let us!
