The patio area will face north toward the sales pavilion site. An existing driveway on the northeast
New York-New York's roller coaster may not be that busy in this heat, but executives sure are. Aside from the full slate of projects we've been reporting on, we've uncovered even more details about what's in store for this sensible Vegas resort .
So, just what did we learn after sifting through an upcoming government meeting agenda and related filings? Well, we need to fill you in on two things first to set the stage. We told you there was a lot to go over. One, the CityCenter Sales Pavilion ( partially seen below, screen left ) "will be demolished in the near future." (That's the two-story gray building between New York-New York and Monte Carlo once used for condo sales.) Two, the drive between that building best western university inn hammond and New York-New York will be removed best western university inn hammond and replaced with a "pedestrian access easement," what you and I refer to as a walkway best western university inn hammond , linking NY-NY with the new venues that will replace said Sales Pavilion.
Still with us? Good. Now, that pedestrian access easement will feature a new outdoor drinking and dining spot off the north side of New York-New York. "Approximately 70 feet west of Las Vegas Boulevard South" if you want to pace it off. Here's the government-ese:
The plan depicts a covered outside dining and drinking area with a total area of approximately 2,600 square feet with seating for 72 customers. The patio cover is 24 feet in height and constructed with metal and glass transom best western university inn hammond supports and a decorative standing seam metal roof system. The plan also depicts a brick faade, decorative metal fascia, and new metal and glass store fronts on the north side of the existing building adjacent to the patio area.
The patio area will face north toward the sales pavilion site. An existing driveway on the northeast corner of the New York-New York Resort Hotel site will be closed and converted into part of the sidewalk/pedestrian access easement and a landscape area located best western university inn hammond along Las Vegas Boulevard South.
We previously mused about whether the multi-billion dollar joint improvement project happening at New York-New York and Monte Carlo (as well as the land in-between) best western university inn hammond meant the beginning of the end for The Sporting House . We continue to muse.
The massive undertaking will completely transform the Strip-facing exteriors of New York-New York and Monte Carlo , adding new dining and retail to both. The ones we know about are reported here . More to be announced soon(ish). If you haven't seen them yet or just want another gander, here's the renderings of what's to come. The Sales Pavilion area shown above will morph into this :
Also, we should mention that the images in this post were captured back in late April just after the project was first announced. New York-New York's Brooklyn Bridge was closed off to foot traffic earlier this week as plans continue to push forward.
With that said, however, best western university inn hammond I do think it will bring a little more life to that area. Whenever I walk in front of New York New York Monte Carlo its always so dead. As much as I love the themes, the Monte Carlo statues and water fountain structure, its always so empty and like a ghost town.
Let's just turn the entire Strip into what will look like a mixture of high rise office blocks and shopping best western university inn hammond centres! best western university inn hammond I've got a feeling that when I return, I'll feel like a kid arriving at Disneyland, only to find it's completely changed and all the fun bits have been taken away! I'm staying on Fremont in the future where it's still fun! Vegas is losing the magic.
But at the same time, I think more than 1/2 the hotels that currently have a theme aren't doing so well anyways (ie: Luxor, Excalibur, New York New York, Monte Carlo). best western university inn hammond (lets not forget Sahara how trashy that place was, and how bad the Aladdin was)(the only good exception I'd say is the Venetian/Palazzo).
I hear ya on that. I haven't been to Vegas for an actual vacation in over a year. I work CES each year but rarely get to actually do this while working so September will be the first time in a while that I'll be poking around the city for fun.
