You re room is ready Music to my ears as I arrived at the Intercontinental Toronto Centre hotel at 10:30 in the morning and check-in was not supposed to be until 3:00PM. An early check-in is a great way to start your stay at any hotel, but the Intercontinental had so much more in store for me during this visit.
Located next to the Metro Toronto apartments in los angeles Convention Centre in downtown Toronto, the Intercontinental Toronto Centre apartments in los angeles is the perfect location for any convention goer, but it also boasts a fantastic central downtown location just steps from the CN Tower, Rogers Centre, Roy Thompson Hall, Theatre District, Toronto Waterfront and Business district. The hotel staff will be all too pleased to offer suggestions for you to make your visit to Toronto memorable. I did not meet one unhelpful, or unhappy staff member at all the entire stay.
I was a bit worried about the Standard Room I booked when cashing in AirMiles points. I don t know why I was so nervous, but when you book a room through points and the AirMiles call center the reservation is a bit different and you feel a bit detached from the actual hotel booking. But when I opened the door to my room I couldn t have been more thrilled. I had a spacious room, with a king sized bed, big fluffy pillows, crisp linens and the most awesome view of the CN Tower and Toronto Waterfront. With a three night stay planned I was overjoyed and all my fears of getting a crap room reserved for points apartments in los angeles people were quickly erased!
The intercontinental room had a spacious apartments in los angeles bathroom, with tub and shower, sink with generic bath products and hair dryer. The bed was king size, with two lounge chairs with a small table between them, a desk and a flat screen tv. Lots of drawers apartments in los angeles for unpacking apartments in los angeles your clothes and lots of hangers in the closet as well. Other extras include slippers, a bathrobe and an in-room safe. There were lots of lights and outlets in the room but I did find the room was a bit dark at night and had a yellow like dull light. However apartments in los angeles having the CN Tower lightshow outside your window at night was pretty awesome and I wanted to sleep with the curtains open to enjoy my special night light! The room was kept clean and products were replenished daily.
Now my peeves. I don t understand, especially with luxury hotels why the water bottles are not included in the room price. The fridge was also reserved (I didn t open it as it had a plastic tab on it that I didn t want to break) apartments in los angeles for bar goods and It would be nice to be able to put some medications or water in the fridge at no cost. The coffeemaker apartments in los angeles was a Keurig, with powdered milk and sub-par K-cups and I couldn t tell if the coffee was included or not. Personally it was crap coffee so I just walked down the street to get a Starbucks. It would also have been nice if the bath products were a specific brand. Marriott Renaissance resorts do this well with their Aveda bath products and it’s a nice extra that I have grown to expect from a luxury resort. I did like that the shower cap came with a hair tie and that everything was replenished apartments in los angeles daily. But peeves aside the room was awesome, comfortable and I slept well.
Dining: Unfortunately I did not get to try the Azure restaurant located on the ground floor of the resort. There was no time and most of my meals were covered by the conference I was attending. But it is a highely recommended restaurant in Toronto and I can t wait to visit.
The hotel also features apartments in los angeles a fitness centre apartments in los angeles and pool. Funny story. I was all set with my workout gear to hit the 24 hour fitness apartments in los angeles centre during my stay, however the hotel was hosting a weight lifting contest or some sort and the hotel was swarming with tanned, muscular men and women. I couldn t bring myself to hit the gym imagining myself moving the weights down to 10lbs from the few hundred that they would have been lifting. Anyway we did a lot of walking around apartments in los angeles the city so I guess it wasn t so bad!
Convention Center Access having a direct link into the convention center apartments in los angeles and being next door was a huge advantage for me during my stay. Many conference goers said they had no time to go back to their downtown hotel in between conference events and would have paid more to stay closer. apartments in los angeles Being able to run upstairs even for 5 minutes to change shoes and drop off my business pack was a great plus for me!
The Intercontinental hotel is a great hotel to stay at when visiting Toronto. The hotel meets its 4 star rating easily. Its central apartments in los angeles downtown Toronto location makes it a prime location for visiting Toronto s main tourist attractions and convention goers or business travellers will love its location next to the convention centre and Toronto s business district.
