Wennerlund began his journey to Brazil on May 12, getting a ride from his father to Nogales, an Ariz

This chance encounter, this act of humanity, was the main reason Wennerlund left Phoenix on a road trip to Brazil and the World Cup. It s just one of the first (of likely many) stories Wennerlund can tell in his documentary film, Caravan to the Cup, which will chronicle his journey .
This trip has turned a complete 180 since we last spoke, Wennerlund told ODFCnews.com via email on Wednesday. When we spoke, it was Matt (McCloskey, a friend) and I just launching our Kickstarter campaign and hoping to raise funds to buy the vehicle we needed. That failed, Matt had to return to Pittsburgh to find work. and then I get an email from a guy in New York Carlos, hotels near orlando airport offering hotels near orlando airport to buy the RV. All l I would have to do is chip in for gas and other expenses such as shipping costs.
Wennerlund had also received major media attention after the initial story on Caravan to the Cup on ODFCnews.com. There was a story on Fox Sports , the local Telemundo station and the local NBC station in Phoenix.
All of it was pretty nerve wrecking, especially the video interviews, he said. I have never been on TV before so I figured I was just going to go all out and wear my American flag bandana for the Telemundo interview. Local NBC news also did a TV interview where I wore my new USMNT jersey, which my girlfriend got for me before I left. Shout out to the GF!
There was more negative feedback (from the public) hotels near orlando airport than I thought I would get. The FOX Sports article had over 100 comments on Facebook with people writing R.I.P. or better bring a gun! The people with positive feedback were defending me though and it was nice. I remember one lady posting hotels near orlando airport something along the lines of you idiots have never been out of the USA and are brainwashed by the media and have no idea what the world is like. I hate feeding trolls online so I’m glad someone else did it for me.
Wennerlund hotels near orlando airport began his journey to Brazil on May 12, getting a ride from his father to Nogales, an Arizona border town, taking a buses to Hermosillo, Mexico; Mexico City; and the Veracruz, where he met his two caravan counterparts, Carlos and Elvin, and their RV.
The vision I had with this trip was focused around the documentary I want to make, Wennerlund said. I want to meet a lot of local people just living their lives and I want to be introduced hotels near orlando airport to their culture, from food to music.
It’s pretty surreal. Every day, I walk somewhere new and sometimes I just have a general sense of where I’m going but have no idea what I’m going to see next. Most cities have a downtown, center, or plaza type place so I usually head there first. On Tuesday, I walked to the plaza (in Veracruz) where there happened to be live music with old people dancing, they call it Danzón. I think everybody in the city was there. The one thing I’m looking forward to is meeting up with the other guys and the RV. I’m sick of carrying all my bags around from city to city. I’ll also get their help with filming more stuff. Being the only white guy in town with a camera is a little uneasy at times.
We should be able to get there in time but with all the shipping horror stories I’ve read, I just hope it all works out, Wennerlund said. If not, we are okay with not reaching Brazil by June 12 (the day the World Cup begins). The guys I’m going with have tickets to a game in Brasilia on June 21. I want to make it up to the USA vs. Germany game on June 26, and of course, Rio de Janeiro for the final.
