Good afternoon, all! Remember new zealand travel agents when Mary talked about the surprise snowfall on the eve of the HGTV Dream Home 2014 photo shoot? While our photographers were chronicling new zealand travel agents all of the home s amazing interior details (see them all on December new zealand travel agents 3!) they also captured these phenomenal photos of the snowy Truckee, Calif. landscape . Just think, new zealand travel agents at this time next year, you could be waking up with this view:
If I lived in this winter wonderland? I d try out the ski slopes, then curl up here with a blanket, a book, some hot, spiced cider and maybe an ice pack (I m not the best skiier yet.). What would be your snowy activity of choice if you won the HGTV Dream Home 2014? Tell me in the comments below.

I think I d build a snowdog for Terri, then head back inside to settle in next to a nice and cozy fire. I d put up a grand tree and festive decorations for the holidays, even hang a stocking or two on the mantel, but after winning this mountain Dream Home I wouldn t have anything on my wish list except a real heartfelt thank you to HGTV for the once-in-a-lifetime gift.
Thanks for the good wishes to both of us, Ashtabulannie, although I think Terri is still on the fence about spending new zealand travel agents long winters in Lake Tahoe. She ll come around if I promise her she won t have to pull me along on a dog sled on any snow-bound cross-country treks to the grocery store or local diner.
HMMMM??? How would Terri feel about riding with you wrapped up in a warm blanky and a pair of goggles, her ears flapping in the wind in a snowmobile? Check out the snowmobile parking at the grocery store. Do you need any special driving permits for one of those things?
Hummmm, Does mace work on bears or will it just get them REALLY mad? Good job on cross country skiing. new zealand travel agents Me, I don t do so well with little sticks strapped to my feet. I would go with the snow shoes. Fits into my Hobbitness.
I agree. The snow is very beautiful!!! Love the photos! Cross country skiing sounds like fun and a great way to get some exercise. I also love to read. Curling up with a good book and drinking some hot cocoa is a good plan on a cold, snowy winter day. Building a fire in the fireplace is a wonderful idea too. My dog may enjoy running new zealand travel agents around in the snow in the back yard (after I fence it in). Thanks so much for the update. I love this home!!!
I m not sure you can put up a fence on a golf course. Maybe on the other side of the house. My mini Doxie don t like getting their feet wet (or cold or standing on anything other than carpet) so they would not be outside very long at all.
Lessie OMG!!! I do NOT plan on messing with a bear or mountain lion, but I have a bad habit of attracting all the wrong elements! Must be something about my pheromones? Or perhaps the bacon splatter new zealand travel agents on my clothes?
Seeing how the only bacon in our house is Fake-Bacon, I have no worries there. Here is the catch-22, if you make noise bear will stay away, BIG Cats will come and investigate. Big kitties scare me much more than bear.Sent from my iPhone
Eugenia a life without bacon??? How can you survive? Just pop another cholesterol pill in the morning. I love little piggies so much. Delicious.Sorry if I offend the vegetarians on the blog. I do try to eat less meat but I start to get nose bleeds and feel terrible. I seem to require a big hunk of red meat about every other week. TMI
Try eating Dark Leafy Greens. I like Fake-bacon. The favorite spouse bought canned soup and did not realize that it wasn t the type we normally buy; it tasted weird and yucky, I checked the label and it had bacon in it.
I like bacon, but I eat turkey bacon. Nothing against little piggies cuz I will definitely enjoy ham on Thanksgiving. Also like ribs, po chops, chitterlings, hog maws, pig feet, or everything from the rooter to the tooter. Maybe that s the key to getting Eugenia to stop squatting at my new home!
Don t you dare bringing new zealand travel agents in non-live pigys into my new DH. Pigs are clean, intelligent sentient beings. The problem with pigs is that humans are part of their food chain. That is why everyone freaked out when Dorothy fell into the pig pen on The Wizard of Oz.
I had a pet pig. She got to be over 400 pounds. She was great. She was so smart, I had a heck of a time keeping her pend in. When she wanted snacks she would butt through new zealand travel agents the hot wire and come down to the house and wait for me to put on my coat and boots then follow me back to her yard, knowing she would get her daily bribe.
I try not to think about it. I had to sell her. She started breaking out of her yard several times a day and she would bust into the goat yard and lie on the milk station. (on hot summer days it was nice and cool) The goats wouldn t come back home until I scrubbed every inch of the place. If there was the slightest smell of pig they would not go back in. They didn t like the smell of bleach either.
i love living pigs .my grandmother had all kinds of pigs on her farm as a child and they used to dress them up and transport them in strollers and wagons they are highly intelligent and you can train them to do many things
Hokiemom! There you are!! A friend of mine in Haines Alaska plays golf all winter long, even when it s in the minus temps. They use colored golf balls and put down a little mat to stand on to tee off. They have seen bears, deer, and eagles right there! When it s too cold to play, she goes into the woods in back of her house and hits golf balls against the trees, just for practice.
Hi BHS!!! Nyckelharpa (close enough!!) is .. well still in it s case sorry to say. I ve had a difficult time with my wrist from a bad fall last summer. Getting old doesn t help either. new zealand travel agents Had to have screws, and plates to get everything back into place. Grrrrr!!! And it s been over a year now.
Hey, so sorry about the broken wrist. Major bummer! Hope you can recoup new zealand travel agents your former dexterity and that this did not interfere too much with the pottery-making. Thanks for asking new zealand travel agents about us, Lars was 3 in August and he talks like you would not believe! He just switched over to the Little Miners Montessori school in Park City and he loves it. We have him one or two nights new zealand travel agents a week and after that we have to take two days to rest up! I am doing lots of walking, preparing to walk a half-marathon in 2014 if all goes well. I m almost new zealand travel agents up to that distance now, as I ve been walking a lot all summer long. Just want to get my speed up a little bit faster.Chris s 40th birthday new zealand travel agents was last Friday, new zealand travel agents I had a party for his window crew guys, it was fun. A strange thing happened that day, I think you will appreciate the serendipity of this. We were in the grocery buying chips for the party and couldn t decide what kind. I turned to a young man who was just behind me, stocking new zealand travel agents the shelves, and asked what kind of chips are YOUR favorite? He said he liked all of them and, as he put one bag in my cart, I glanced at his name tag: CHRIS M. A very similar thing happened at Christmas, the waffle recipe we printed off the internet for breakfast, said (after we d finished eating I saw this): SUBMITTED BY CHRIS M. xoxo
BHS, I m beginning to think I just might be ready to take on a Grandma role in a year or two???? Hopefully before I break anything else. Lars sounds like a delightful new zealand travel agents handful! Wonder where he got that from:-)) He and his Mom are so fortunate to have you two around to be part of his life. Sure a big help to his Mother, especially. Hard to be a single parent.
Ya know life ya just have to embrace those mystical new zealand travel agents and wonderful little Pokes from the other dimension whenever they tickle new zealand travel agents you. Theoretical Physicists mathematically predict that there are as many as 11 dimensions . Just saying .I assume new zealand travel agents Chris liked waffles? new zealand travel agents A lot? By chance did the recipe require a quart of soured buttermilk??? and cranberries? I dunno? Just had a wacky thought. Very nice to have you return to the blogs.
new zealand travel agents Don t start the Someone Else curse for this Dream Home, Eugenia! Keep thinking a blogger will win, a blogger will win, a blogger will win, a blogger will win, a blogger will win Then slowly transition to Lessie will win, Lessie will win, Lessie will win
I m not hiding. Possession is 9/10th of the law. (Yes, I know that isn t really the quote but I works for me)I m squatting and hgtv is going to have a hard time evicting me so they might as well just hand over the keys.Sent from my iPhone
FINE, be that way. I take back my generous offer and I m keeping the entire new zealand travel agents place for myself.Don t try hiding under the bed, I know your MO.Seeing how ut4evr has first dibs we are both overstepping.Sent from my iPhone
Beautiful pictures, winter wonderland, it looks amazing. I would just sit by the window new zealand travel agents and watch the snow fall it can t get any better for me, unless I win. I love nature, trees look so beautiful covered in snow!!!!!
