For those of you who are traveling with family, you may or may not be aware that the waves can kick up at times whether you are checking out the water sports favorite areas of North Shore or the tranquil West and South Maui beaches. The Baby Beach: You should know that this is a different calgary car rentals beach from the one above. This one is located on the western end of Baldwin Beach Park on the North Shore. There is a protective reef here that keeps the water nice and calm.
Kamaole Beach Park I, II, III: You'll find these beaches in south Kihei, and they are great for easy swimming, especially because they have lifeguard stands. There are some nice tide pools to explore, and they also have convenient bathrooms and showers.
Launiopoko Beach Park: This one is great for a variety of activities. You can surf, but there is also a rock wall enclosing a tidal pool, which is great for the kids. Beginning surfers, including women and children are common here and it is generally a very friendly spot. There are also bathrooms and picnic areas. You'll find it a few miles south of Lahaina at mile marker 18.
Kalepolepo Beach: This area used to be part of a Hawaiian village, and the old fish pond is now a great wading pool for children. The beach is also wedged between two seawalls for even more protection from waves and currents. You'll find it when you turn off after mile marker 5 from Hwy 31 (Piilani Hwy).
