SCHWARTZ: We had been asked by the city to do the first parade when the Patriots won the SuperBowl in 2002. Since then, the city continues to ask us each time a team wins the Championship in their respective sports. When the Red Sox won, it was much more publicity since it had been 86 years. We also had never gone into the Charles River during a Rolling Rally so we were a bit nervous. It was surreal.

HOVG: Alright, a lot has been made of pitcher Jake Peavy purchasing his own duck boat. I ve got a couple of questions. First, how does something like that even come about does he just say I want to buy this? Can a civilian even own a duck boat what did it cost him?
SCHWARTZ: His people called me the night before the parade and the deal was done before the Rolling Rally even started. We kept the price confidential but he ended up going public with the cost of $75,000. A civilian can own a Duck but it s expensive and difficult to maintain, especially the original WWII ones like Peavy bought.
