Shannon : My parents instilled a love for travel in me from an early age. I grew up seeing and experiencing other cultures, and that desire stayed with me after I graduated from college. What initially began as a year of solo-travel, turned into almost two and a half years of living abroad.
Kristin : I’m from a small town in the Ozarks, where not much happens besides trips to Wal-Mart. So the outside world was always pretty exciting to me, and after finishing college I couldn’t think of anything I’d rather be doing. I worked, saved up some money, and headed to Australia.

There are so many chemicals in traditional fabrics, often exploitative labor in overseas manufacturing, and massive water waste in producing just a single t-shirt. We knew that if we were really going to do this, then we were going to do it right.
K S : Travelers and aspiring minimalists. We’ll be the first to say, our product is not for everyone. But if you’re looking to pare down your wardrobe, reduce your consumption and support sustainable manufacturing and design, then the Versalette is a great start.
