We threw caution to the wind and completely refurbished 5 of our 21 bedrooms and our restaurant HIDE. Working with another small family business who, like us, believe in encouraging real craftsmanship, we have tackled everything: from handmade valances, trimmed footstools, luxurious hand crafted headboards to a handmade chocolate on the pillow, fresh flowers and a coffee machine to welcome guests to their room. Spotless rooms, robes, slippers, fluffy towels, comfy beds and crisp bed linen are a given but there are many extras; soft lighting, vintage china to drink your tea from and flapjacks sweetened with honey from our own bees. There are lovely toiletries too for pampering from the Yorkshire Soap Company. We do local. We always have, long before it became trendy.
We know how lucky we are. We have a great base to work from.
