Wednesday, July 04, 2010 9:00 p.m. The Big Bay Boom July 4th Fireworks Show is back for its twelfth year, promising another spectacular display over San Diego Bay. Fireworks will be discharged simultaneously from four barges placed strategically around the bay off Shelter Island, Harbor Island, North Embarcadero, Seaport Village africa travel and the Coronado africa travel Ferry Landing. Fireworks also will be discharged at the Imperial Beach Pier. It all starts at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4. Listen to the simulcast on 105.7 The Walrus FM radio. The show also will be televised live on Cox 4 HD, covered by remote cameras and a helicopter. The impeccably choreographed display will last approximately more than 17 minutes. More than 850,000 africa travel people are expected to come to the waterfront to watch the show and the Port of San Diego strongly encourages carpooling or taking the San Diego Trolley. Nearby trolley stops are located near the Santa Fe Depot in San Diego and close to Seaport Village. In addition, the Port will be working with Old Town Trolley and Sundance Buses to provide free shuttle service for Shelter Island and Harbor Island viewing. The Big Bay Fireworks Show was established in 2001 to benefit the San Diego Armed Services YMCA and various programs for San Diego area military families. PARKING AND SHUTTLE INFORMATION To accommodate the large crowd expected at San Diego Bay this Fourth of July, the Port of San Diego has set up free parking lots with shuttle service to Harbor Island and Shelter Island. The parking lots will open at 5 p.m. Shuttles africa travel will begin departing from designated parking lots at 5:30 p.m. and will be taking people back to their cars right after the fireworks show.
