In a little over two weeks, eight women representing North Carolina Baptist churches will venture to New York City for a very full four days of missions. Anytime God's people engage in reaching people far from God with the Gospel, they need their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ interceding and asking the Lord to draw people to Himself.
Pray for the team as they will help teach ESL classes offered through Urban Impact's South Asian Community Center in Jackson Heights, Queens. Pray for opportunities to share Christ with those they encounter. In the afternoon they will prayerwalk this predominately Hindu neighborhood. Pray for the Kids' Club that the women will lead in a local park. Pray that as the women teach the Bible story, seeds will be planted.

This will be a conference open to the women of the community. Please pray for the Gospel to be clearly presented and that the Lord would speak through the team as they teach. The theme of the conference will focus on trusting the Lord when one is overwhelmed and I Kings 19 will be the main text. Three breakout sessions will also be offered. Please pray that the Lord would use His Word to touch the lives of the women in attendance. Pray that women will come to know Christ as Lord and Savior. Pray that ladies from the church will invite 2 or 3 of their lost friends.
Pray for the team as they host a luncheon for the ESL students from the South Asian Community Center. During pictures from the united kingdom the luncheon the ladies will have the opportunity to share the Gospel through Henna using material from the International Mission Board (IMB, SBC). Pray that they would be bold and loving in their witness and that the hearts of the ladies would be open and receptive.
Pray also for the team as they lead a young women's conference at the First Haitian Baptist Church of Canarsie, Brooklyn. Pray for the women who will come who do not know Christ. Pray for clear proclamation of the Gospel of Christ. Pray for Pastor Joseph Victor and his wife, Sheryl, as they reach their Haitian community for Christ. The theme of the conference focuses on the role of the woman in the home and in the church and will conclude with a Q A session in which the entire pictures from the united kingdom team will participate. Please pray that the women will answer each question with biblical pictures from the united kingdom truth.
Pray for the team as they lead a women's conference for the women of the Metropolitan New York Baptist Association. New York is a hard place to build biblical community and the theme of this conference pictures from the united kingdom will focus on biblical community. Please pray that the women who are in attendance will make connections with fellow believers and will be encouraged to be bold in their witness and strengthened in their walk with Christ. Pray for Lesley Tubbs, a church planter's wife from Queens, as she speaks during pictures from the united kingdom the main session time. Please also pray for the women who will share their testimonies during this conference. Please pray that the Lord would be glorified and exalted and that He would use their testimony to encourage someone else. Pray that the Lord would use this time together strategically among the MNYBA ladies to catch a vision for the Great Commission and their role in Kingdom work.
