It s always amazing to me how many Sox fans show up on Cubs blogs to harass Cubs fans. Get a life gu

The Cubs announced Thursday morning that the 24th annual fan fest sold out in only 24 minutes, or about the same time it took for the top of the fateful fifth inning of Game 1 to play out. That's when Ryan Dempster loaded the bases with three walks before serving up the go-ahead grand slam to Los Angeles first baseman James Loney, the homer that sucked the life out of Wrigley Field and became one of the defining playoff moments in the Dodgers sweep.
The Cubs haven't announced who will be attending the '09 Cubs Convention, which runs from Jan. 16-19, 2009. But manager Lou Piniella and General Manager miami international airport hotel Jim Hendry will have their annual question-and-answer session, which should be a little livelier than last January's lovefest.
The Cub Convention is a sad situation for the average Cub fan to attend. We are forced to purchase from scalper s at a much higher price if one wants to attend. It is impossible to get through to purchase tickets. Someone is dumping vast volumes of tickets to connections who in turn are scalping the Public. It would be very interesting to know just how many attendee s get in for $60.00 as the Cubs Organization specifies that the tickets go for. There should be a limit that each person can purchase(like 4 or 5)that way this 24 minute sellout would be eliminated and it would open the purchases to more of the fans at a fair price.
What a bunch of idiots! How could anyone shell out even $.10 to show up at this convention of losers? When are you die-hards going to realize that the Cubs are never going to win the WS again? As the Trib said in the headlines of the sports section after the Dodgers miami international airport hotel won, It Ain t Gonna Happen! I proudly have that page hanging in my office so I don t get sucked in again.
I ve attended the Cubs Convention every year since 1994. This year I will certainly be going, not to bow and kowtow to the players, but to let them and management know just how disappointed and disgusted by this year s performance I was.
I, on the other hand, as a true Cubs fan, could care less what the Sox do. I don t read articles about the Sox or post on the related message boards. I have better things to do with my time than to spend every spare minute trying to justify why my team is better. I know what *I* believe, and that s all that matters. I don t have to shove it down anyone else s throat in an attempt to justify my belief.
However, when Sox fans post on articles relating to MY team, they re fair game. They are jealous that the majority of people in this city are Cubs fans. (If it were otherwise, miami international airport hotel they d manage to fill their stadium on a regular basis). Don t go away mad, Sox fans... just go away. Go cheer for your team, support them, do whatever you like with them. This article has absolutely nothing to do with you, but like the so-called Rev. Jesse Jackson, you ll shove your virtual face into the middle of something even when you re not invited.
At the Rangers Fan Convention, among other things they get to catch fly balls in the outfield, throw pitches in the bullpen, take batting practice in the cages, sit in the dugouts and locker rooms, meet the players miami international airport hotel and coaches, and it s only $5. I love the Cubs Convention as much as anyone, but $60? What a ripoff.
I wouldn t call this loyalty miami international airport hotel in as much as it s really insecurity on the part of Cubs fans. Deep inside, they d like to boycott or express their disapproval through their wallets, but then they ll feel left out when someone even more insecure than them takes their place. This constant need for approval miami international airport hotel from others prevents Cubs fans from expressing their true dismayal at the team s curent state.
While I do not condone a 100% boycott, Cubs fans need to find a way to express their displeasure in a way that management will heed. But they must get past their insecurites first before they can move forward.
First off, the money from the tickets is going to charity and not the Cubs. So by boycotting this even you would be helping no one. Not attending games this season or not buying jerseys/hats is the way to boycott this team.
the cubs do not deserve this kind of support after their dismal post season appearances the last two years. sox fans are right about us. we have no business supporting the team this way. the owners are correct about us cubs fans.
All of the proceeds go to charity, so wouldn t you rather the Cubs sell tickets for $60 instead of $5? And the Rangers have the luxury of being located where it s warm in the winter. Do you want to go catch a few fly balls in the middle of January at Wrigley?
Also - it s not the Cubs fault that scalpers are able to purchase tickets. Like any other team that puts up tickets for sale to any event, they just sell them to whoever is lucky enough to get through. miami international airport hotel If you don t like it then you should contact your local Congressman.
miami international airport hotel ah, the sheep return to the flock.the cubs will continue to ask for patience as long as the sheep return and give them money. even though you would think 100 years of patience would be enough for the cubs. The cubs fans are the real reason for their failures and lack of urgency. before you flame as a sox fan. I am not,I am a cubs fan. I am just not part of the flock .
Memo to misguided Jim C. i went to games in the 1970 s long before it was fashinable; the neighborhood, attendance and team all sucked. The upper deck wasn t open and the Andy Frains would have the nerve to kick you out of a good seat even though the ticket holder wasn t present in the seventh inning. However,to all those who swore off the Cubs after the all too brief postseason I can only quote Lee Elia-My $% @#!! #%$.
Gee, I hope this is not during miami international airport hotel Excuses and always finding someone to blame and never giving miami international airport hotel the credit to the .500 team that whipped our behinds Convention also to be held on that weekend at the same hotel. Such a problem for most fans of the nort side hey dare team.
It s always amazing to me how many Sox fans show up on Cubs blogs to harass miami international airport hotel Cubs fans. Get a life guys! So the Cubs lose in the first round of the playoffs and we should just give up? Call it quits? Say no thanks to tradition and loyalty and watching games with our parents and grandparents? Give up sitting in Wrigley field on a warm summer afternoon? Sorry, not going to happen. Teams lose in the playoffs. Good teams lose in the playoffs. The best team loses in the playoffs sometimes. In EVERY sport. It doesn t mean we have to give up on our team. GO CUBS!!!!!
The sad part is charity or not the Cubs are making miami international airport hotel this so expensive the average fan can t afford to go. Just like the games. The cost is over $200.00 per night just to stay at he hotel. If you just want to do passes a family of 4 is still into it for $240.00.(Not staying at the hotel) By time you add in a few balls meals for everyone your walking out of there spending between $800.00 to $1000.00! Crazy!!
