I did get the one from Hertz. I had not rented from any of the other companies. If they want to send out discount coupons, I'll take them. I did complete the online form. I am not really fond of the principles of mass tort law but until some sort of reform of the entire US legal system costa rica adventure travel takes place it will exist. Not taking whatever they give you won't stop it, so might as well take it.
More recently I got one from Alamo and noticed it's a $10 or $20 coupon that can be used IN ADDITION TO any other discounts or coupons. I assume the terms are the same and missed the IN ADDITION TO statement in the Hertz notification.
On the other hand it's been quite awhile since I've rented from Hertz, they haven't been close to competitve for me vs. Alamo and Dollar in Vegas in a long time. So I'd probably never use their coupon assuming there's an expiration date.
