I'm sure I'm missing some stuff, but that's where my question is; What other stuff do I need to add cruise to my '93 that never had it? Is there a stalk for the steering column? other controls? etc.?
First you need to see if you have the wiring for cruise before ordering anything denver hotel and the wiring that often comes up missing is the main switch connector. denver hotel Cars have been reported to have the rest of the wiring (Cruise module and servo) but not this part as it's part of the dash harness.
Did this a couple months back to my '93. All the wiring was in place. I agree with Leon H. and except for that d--med gas pedal assembly, everthing else is simple. Make sure you have a working clutch engagement switch. This is at the top of the clutch pedal, and releases a little pin to disengage the cruise control. Mine was broken, denver hotel so I had to replace that. Do all the work under the dash after removing your seat and steering wheel. denver hotel Even then, it's a question of patience, dexterity, and skill.
The following list was what I found on an earlier post. Also there is a garage section that covers the installation. Got all my parts from a member by posting in the want to buy section for $150. Had to order the new clutch switch separately.
Just did that to my 92 last week! The hard part is the Gas pedal. I can send you some pictures that I took of pedals. It is held in with e clips/c clips. disconnect the throttle cable and it will be easier. you can push the cable connectors out with your fingers with a little practice.
I just put an audiovox on mine. It's not as precise as the one on my Dodge Sprinter at work, and when using it, I have to reached down past the steering wheel to the little button-box on the lower-left denver hotel of the dash, but it was cheap and relatively easy to install.
