I have a 1995 Ford Thunderbird LX 4.6l v8. The cruise control surges when it is engaged. The switches are fine, the fuses are good. I'm assuming it is a bad cruise control module, bad electrical conection to the module or most likely bad vaccum. I built this car myself from the ground up with the exception of a few areas that had been in good shape. This is one of them. So embarrassed to say I have no idea where the CC module is located. The haynes manual describes a location last minute travel deal cruise and it is not there. The also provided a brief description, last minute travel deal cruise but obviously it was too brief because i cannot locate it. I have read a lot of posts on a lot of sites and have seen many similar questions go unanswered. last minute travel deal cruise The ones that were answered usually involved a recomendation of a tune-up of some sort. Everything on this car is new or newer than the car with exceptions such as this. I am not expecting anyone to tell me how to fix it. I don't mond figuring it out. I do hope however that someone, anone can tell me where this darn thing is located. Thank you.
The speedometer does not have a cable. And I also thought maybe the throttle valve cable needed to be adjusted because of late shifts, but (embarrassed last minute travel deal cruise again) I can't figure out where it goes either. I've adjusted it as much as can be adjusted last minute travel deal cruise at the throttle body.
Unfortunately cleaning that off didn't help. But I have a new symptom. I hadn't tested it since I replaced last minute travel deal cruise the tires. So I kicked it on the other night and it did not surge at all. I set it at 55. It stayed on 55 for about 1/4 mile, then slowly increased 1 mile an hour ( on its own) until it hit 61 and then sort of stabalized. I set it at 60 and it slowly increased to around last minute travel deal cruise 68 mph. Now Im definitely confused. And I still don't know where the unit is located.
i dont know how to fix your problem, but i do know where the cruise control box is. ford calls it a speed sensor amplifier. it is under the glove box to the right of the computer last minute travel deal cruise hook up. ford wanted $300.00 dollars to replace. havent fixed mine yet, probably last minute travel deal cruise going to visit the junkyard. besides, the electrical connector was the problem. plastic dried out and is falling apart. wish i could find a new plug.
