In the three day trip, from Sept 13 to 15, 2013, sixteen World War II veterans and one Korean War veteran will enjoy a full day of honors on Saturday while staying in a hotel Friday evening and Saturday evening. They will return on Sunday, September 15th to a full Welcome Home Party hosted by Honor Flight McHenry at the Cary Country Club.
On their Day of Honor, the veterans will visit the World War II Memorial southwest airline flight schedules followed by visits to the Korean War, Vietnam War, Iwo Jima and Air Force Memorials. The day will end with a visit to Arlington National Cemetery to witness the Changing of the Guard Ceremony and to honor the Unknown Soldiers. Saturday evening will offer a special dinner to allow the veterans to relax and enjoy the company southwest airline flight schedules of their fellow veterans and new found friends.
On Sunday, the veterans will receive special honors upon their return. They will be greeted at the Milwaukee Airport by family, friend and supports. Then they will board a bus for the short trip to Cary, IL. Along the way, they will be escorted by motorcyclists of the Warrior Watch who will be join by various police, fire and others from the towns along the way.
The Welcome Home Party will begin at 1:00 pm at the Cary Country Club. The party will include food and beverages for purchase southwest airline flight schedules as well as music from the WWII era played by Sound of the Big Band - an authentic 17 piece Big Band. Admission is free and open to the public.
On the trip will be a guardian for each veteran. Guardians accompany their veteran through southwest airline flight schedules the entire trip and are dedicated southwest airline flight schedules to assisting their veteran. Often, guardians are family members of the veteran - allowing them to share in this very special experience. Other volunteers on the trip include the Trip Coordinators and medical support staff.
