Day One: Fly to Naples, meet your tour manager and make the scenic journey (approximately an hour-and-a-half) to Maiori and your holiday base. Rest and relax at the hotel where dinner, accompanied by wine or soft drinks, will be served this evening.
Day Two: Get to know your surroundings and enjoy the hotel s facilities today, or perhaps take the shuttle bus to the beach. Stroll down the main Corso Reghinna with its many shops, and soak up the atmosphere of a town famous as the setting of some of legendary film director Roberto Rosellini s quintessentially Italian films.
Day Three: Today s optional excursion will take you to the slopes of Mount Vesuvius. Climb the road to a height of 1000 metres, from where the views are stunning, and perhaps take a guide (payable locally) and climb the 500 metres or so further to the volcano s rim.  Afterwards, take in the haunting ruins of Roman Pompeii, miraculously preserved by the eruption of the volcano in AD79.

Day Four: From Sorrento we cross today to Capri, the magical Isle of Dreams . Enjoy the spectacular views from Villa San Michele in Anacapri; take a chair-lift ride to the summit of Solare go tours (payable locally); and visit the island s main town to wander the Augustus Gardens or shop or more likely window-shop at the host of exclusive designer stores.
Day Six: With its immense cliffs and dizzy bridges spanning deep gorges, the Amalfi Drive is among the most scenic coastal roads in Europe.
