Thanks Paul – we didn't stay there but I did manage to check out the charming spa at Relais Christine for a "brushing" (the term for a blow-dry across the Channel) though and it was gorgeous. Well if Anna Wintour can have a blow dry every morning between tennis and work I fully intend to follow suit. At least for Paris Fashion Week!
We actually stayed at Banke Hote l in the Opera quarter. With a crystal-domed ceiling and dramatic spiral staircase, the hotel is flamboyantly designed and houses an amazing collection of world art, displayed on each floor. It was like wandering our own private museum. Super close to Place Vendôme, Galleries Lafayette and Rue Faubourg Sainte Honoré, it's a stone's throw from the capital's best shopping too.
Saab's collection was über glamorous – like a red carpet procession last minute cruise discounts of sparkling gowns, there was enough bling to keep the Ecclestons happy. After a quick zip on Eurostar I've been London based this weekend – I spent my days dreaming up my winter travels, and there's Christmas and New Year to arrange not to mention my ski break. Still haven't been able to make up my mind. Any ideas?
