Thanks. I checked for the first 18 days in November and got the same rate you got for the Aveo at Advantage. However, when I entered November 23-December 11 the rate went to $569 for the economy car and $586 for the mid-size car we want.
However, by sending me to Expedia you helped me find a deal at Alamo--a Corolla for $644 from Alamo, which is $58 more than Advantage (a company new york hotel discounts that worries me) and $91 less than the best deal I could get from Hertz.
We've rented from Advantage in the past and they are fine. The bigger issue for me would be renting outside DFW and having to get there!! Especially if you want to hit the road right away, I just would not want to do that!
We've had great luck using Hotwire for rental cars. Out of the Tampa airport we ended up with a Hertz car each time. It is more or less blind bidding. You bid on the size car you want and location, (in airport or out), you can see the price, just not the company until you complete your selection. It is a considerable savings, and we've never been disappointed!!
