Before the HGTV Dream Home 2014 was a beautiful, finished modern duck boat tours mountain retreat, it was a working construction site. Today, head over to HGTVRemodels.com to see how each room was transformed from construction duck boat tours zone to fully-designed space. Then tell me: Which room do you think made the biggest transformation?

duck boat tours OK, can you ask your husband about the Plywood filler between the beams over the headers all through the house? Someone duck boat tours mentioned it is a Truckee duck boat tours Style. But I visit Truckee quite frequently and have not seen that feature done that way, also have not noticed in the business buildings in Truckee design by this Architecture company.
I got him HOOKED On Dream Home last year and now he actually enters..He forgets on many days ( Ggrrrr . I have to remind him!! I actually started entering Late this year, myself ( Double duck boat tours GGrrr On me )!
That s my pet peeve also. Past DHs didn t have a king either. It s possible, I think, to have smaller nightstands on either side- or none- and exchange the queen for a king. I wonder if anyone duck boat tours measured that wall.
We have a king size bed. You need 11 of wall space to accommodate a king size bed with a small to moderate size nightstand on both sides. The nightstands on either side of the bed in the DH are large, so there s plenty of room for a king if the nightstands are a little smaller.
I admire the work Linda and her crew do to furnish all the HGTV Dream Homes, It is quite the task . In person you really see how well it all blends and flows. She does leave space to add you own personal touch. Like that wall of flooring going up the staircase, I can visualize Beehivestate hanging one of her quilts duck boat tours on that wall.
Until Beehivestate has a chance to answer you, she will say her quilts are to be used not put on the wall. (But I have to agree with you.) One of her quilts would be fantastic there. Then on a cold night you could take it down and snuggle up in it.
Brenda, you are a cupcake! Thanks for the heads up to follow this comment stream. I am happy! Today my husband duck boat tours is putting together an IKEA base cabinet as a cutting table for my studio, as you know from my FB page. It s almost done and it s fantastic! Some time after you get your business up and running, you ll have to take a break, come out here, and you can be the 3rd HGTV blogger that I teach to make quilts! xo
No I m going to be third in May please if I can do it? Or maybe fourth LOL sometime in the early summer when I have a break, I m not picky I ll take Bee anytime duck boat tours I can make it out and I ve been trying to for a loooonnnnggg time
Thanks cebe (oops, i almost said your real name!) I m proud that I have taught two bloggers to make quilts now, you and Wyomie. There are lots of places in the Tahoe DH for quilts and I would definitely make special quilts for that house plus use some that I already have to drape over the couch. I love the orange leather in the media room, it would be great for a flannel quilt. Of course, we need flannel for the snowy winters and lighter quilts for summertime. And quilts for outdoors on the dining space, cool summer evenings on the porch. I will also hang an antique porch swing somewhere outdoors and have a quilt for that. I say antique b/c my father-in-law made it for us when we were first married duck boat tours so it s about 40 years old. He made it from Sunset magazine plans that I bought for probably about $2. Back in the day!
I was wondering where you were. Glad you are back to following the stream. Like I said I can see your quilts all over this house Good Luck to you, If you win I would be glad to drive up and learn how to quilt. If we can wedge you out of Utah LOL
Hey Eugenia, I mainly like my quilts to be used on beds but I do have one on the wall in a spot that s not too bright and I rotate quilts in that spot once a month. My house is pretty small and that is really the only wall space that s good for a quilt. This time of year, we have flannel quilts on our master bedroom and the guest room. I also rotate those every month so each quilt gets equal time on beds and not folded all the time. It s not good for them to be folded and stored, they do need to be aired and used. xo
I just remember when the Midway duck boat tours DH was going on, I did not care for the art that was hung in the front entry and I thought it would be a great place to hang one of your quilts. You told me then that they were to be used and not hung on the wall. I m glad that you do both. Your last one is truly art work and it should duck boat tours be hung up for everyone to admire before Life happens on it.
I have to get that other old one repaired or fabric to repair it, I guess there s nothing wrong with using new fabric of my own in it is there? And thus another project begins. I need to find where my miss kittie put it and re fold it inside it s sheet.
Well I hope to meet the three of you that are UT residents and whoever else I may meet and of course duck boat tours J and L, can t wait to meet L he must be a blast and will bring books and stuff for him (and you will have your blue thing before then) I miss your letters!
Love the before and after feature! This really gives me an idea of the home and the work it takes to load in and make the home work. It is great. duck boat tours I really like it in the finished version. And 4TahoeStar54 I have a Bee quilt that I use often and I have an antique quilt I would hang on the fireplace wall or maybe the Staircase as you suggest! It is incredible space with lots to work with still. And I love the colors Linda used throughout the home. Okay too bright duck boat tours on the staircase walls will have to find another home for the antique quilt LOL. Perhaps the fireplace will work. Hmm.
I use that quilt of yours every day and am having trouble figuring out how to hang the antique one in the house LOL like I ll win and be able to keep it LOL! I do love your quilt and thank you for that and the blue piece will be put together soon I hope, I m working on it!
Of course! We ll throw a great birthday party for CoolSmiley! Just need to know if it can be on the outdoor patio or needs to be inside! There s a very cute cupcake place in Truckee duck boat tours that I m sure would personalize a birthday duck boat tours cupcake just for the occasion!
Pennydd can you give us the name of the cup cake place? We are going to be up there in a couple weeks I would love to surprise a special person with a H.B. cupcake or two. Is it possible they have a web site?
I think I read somewhere they notify the winner (me) by phone or email the first week of March. I don t expect to be suddenly duck boat tours called out of the country so I ll be patiently sitting duck boat tours here by my phone. It s unlikely they won t be able to reach me so you should feel free to go about your business.
Wow , early March is perfect, hope they do notify that quickly this go around, Does (me) stand for Misguided Entrant? My breastplate duck boat tours is on and my Helga Helmet nearby..how does thou wish to proceed duck boat tours Lol
Word to the wise .don t take pennydd on. She firmly believes that she is the designated winner even if you have first dibs (like I do). She ll go to the mat to keep hold of her perceived place as the winner. I finally had to yell uncle just to get her to stop. LOL
I wonder how long you have to decide if you can afford to live there or not. It makes me sad to see that NONE of the past winners have been able to actually live in the house (one winner tried it but it didn t work out). I wonder if there is any way to avoid all of those taxes. The cash is nice, but you would still have to come up with a big chunk of change to actually make it happen. There would also be the added moving duck boat tours expenses, licenses and fees, finding a job, etc. etc. However, all of that isn t enough to make me stop wishing and dreaming. Hopefully we could make it work somehow. Would the tax man wait until I sold my current duck boat tours home?
All of the rooms in the Dream Home are beautifully decorated. But if I had to pick one that I believe made the biggest transformation, I would have to say it was the Kid s Bedroom. This space went from bland and boring to bright, colorful, and cheerful.
I agree with you. With all the other rooms I could picture it s potential. The kids room .?.?.?. I m glad Linda had an idea because my mind went blank. duck boat tours Well, I did picture a library duck boat tours there but then where would the kids sleep? (under the stairs I guess)
Love the before duck boat tours and after. Can t wait for the post-after when my stuff is in there. It s getting so close now. All of the rooms were truly transformed. I admire duck boat tours this kind of vision I don t have it but once you ve planted the seed I can certainly visualize myself quite happily roaming those halls. Not much longer .
I always enjoy before and after photos. duck boat tours Thanks for highlighting these. I would make a 2nd after with the mudroom if I owned this home. I would put the pantry back as originally drawn for more storage and add a bench and coat hooks. What space would you make a 2nd after photo?
I would definitely loose 3 of those TV s. I would have the kids playing hard all day and sharing a TV in the cold evenings or when I want them out from under foot. They can take turns with games and picking movies duck boat tours for crying out loud!
The kitchen, after I ve taken out the coffee station and added upper cabinets duck boat tours in its place, removed the wine fridge and put in
