My fingers will be poised above the keyboard bright and early tomorrow morning to put in my first entry for the Dream Home! I have to admit I wasn t as excited about this Dream Home as I was some of the past ones .that is till I saw it finished and decorated, I want it, I want it! So much to like!
They poured the entire foundation in one pour. When the trusses came in, one of them was swinging around chicago car rentals and hit the framing of the chimney twice. knocked it out of plumb, which they said they fixed. Also one of the metal support struts that are bolted between the trusses was a teeny tiny bit too big so they had to grind it down little by little to make it perfect.
They also mentioned that all the HVAC and stuff are somewhere in the laundry room. I guess I d have to check out the first floor plans they showed us, Come to think of it, I was surprised that the laundry room was not as large as I thought it would be.
And I am so excited because I am betting on one of us to win i really want to check out that spa a Shaeffers Mill .and hopefully we will have a bloggers party at the site in the new year that would definitely get me back to California fast finishing up all my major projects now..
I hope it s one of us! Or you! A dreamer who will be so thrilled to finally win one of these beautiful homes. I can t wait to watch Behind the Build when I get back home to OH from my Mom s house in NY. Her cable company doesn t get DIY Network, but there s a chance I ll get to watch it on January 1 on HGTV. If not, I ll have a bit of a wait.
I finally got a chance to see the special when it was on HGTV. They really didn t show much more than we ve already seen, but it was enjoyable to watch. My mom fell asleep in the middle of it. I don t think she was impressed. Now I m snowed in at her house, pretending I m in the DH in Truckee. I wish I had that beautiful kitchen to work in. I m contemplating baking a pie!
I m exhausted after a busy day of post-Christmas shopping, but now I can look forward to a REALLY exciting adventure with tonight s Behind the Build Special. Then I ll have to set my alarm to be up at the crack of dawn so I can place my first two orders for the Dream Home.

You do know that if you had won the Park City DH that you would actually be living in Midway and not far down the road from the blogger, Beehive chicago car rentals State? Were you able to go on a tour of the Midway DH? The winner didn t keep the house and it was sold to some people from St. George. They have put up a huge guest house right in the middle of the driveway.

Beehive State was able to do some sleuthing and learned that the DH in Midway is a second home for the owners. The guest house wasn t finished the last time I was in Midway (back in November). Then it looked out of place and dwarfed the DH. Hopefully, when it s finished it will tie in more with the existing home. BTW, there are a couple of other SL bloggers on the board ut4evr and wishingforit (although wishing hasn t been on much lately).

I really like this DH a lot. To be realistic, there is no way I could afford to live there. I also don t need such a large house. In my dreams I can live there. There are no taxes or electric bills in my dreams.

Thanks for posting when I can view the Behind the Build show. I missed it last night! I m setting the dates and times on my calendar for seeing it on Jan. 2, along with the 2014 Dream Home Special on Jan. 1 at 7:00 PM Central. Can you tell me if the 1:00 time on Jan. 2 is EST or C? And is it being shown on HGTV or DIY?
The house looks beautiful as expected, and I m glad they are using environmental design, but what I have yet to see is a discussion chicago car rentals about the environment. Sure, it is California so earthquakes chicago car rentals are a possibility, but massive snow is a guarantee. I m glad the roof can handle it, but all that snow goes along with temperatures below 32 degrees for months at a time. What is the R rating of all those floor to ceiling windows? What type and R-Rating insulation are they using? I suppose the biggest question is how much is it going to cost to heart and cool this place in the Mountains?

Of all the HGTV Dream Homes, this is the one that I am really taken by. I have loved them all, but this one speaks to me.
