“I feel that I deserve the 3 tickets to the NASCAR race being held in Bristol because I am a single mother of 2 children and we are all NASCAR fans. I have always been a fan of dirt track racing and have had dreams of getting behind the wheel of one. But I never had the money to support such an expensive sport. I even have a friend who builds them, but could never figure out a way to get me behind the wheel without expensive and untested modifications.
Two years ago, I thought I was going to finally get the opportunity when Accessible Racing was planning to come to Pittsburgh to conduct an event that I was planning while working at HOPE Network. The funding discount travel search engines fell through for the event and I was not able to accept the invitation to go to New Hampshire to give it a whirl.
I have only been a fan of NASCAR for about 10 years, but absolutely enjoy the adrenalin rush from watching fast cars. I was told to pick a driver and that would make the sport interesting to me. I looked through a book, saw Jimmy Johnson, and said, “Nice looking and sponsored by my favorite store. I will choose him.” Obviously it was a great choice. My children have minds of their own. My son is a Little E fan and my daughter loves Kasey Kahne. At least they all race for the same team now.
I am a wheelchair user and would use these tickets to take my children to experience an opportunity of a life time with me.
