If you are looking to catch NBC's coverage of the Olympics cruise (time-delayed though it may be), Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood is airing select events on their Las Vegas Strip-side video screens. At 130-feet by 40-feet, the Olympics will enjoy an Olympic-sized cruise screening on the Strip.
At Hyde Bellagio they are featuring the Captain America ($18) and the Gold Medal ($18). The Captain America drink blends Corzo Silver Tequila, cruise Cocci Americano, Noilly Prat Dry Vermouth and tonic water and tops it with Prickly Pear Cassis air foam to create a red, white and blue drink served in a highball over ice. For the Gold Medal, the bartenders at Hyde Bellagio blend Captain Morgan, yellow chartreuse, pineapple and lemon juices, and angostura bitters. Top it off with gold flakes in a martini glass and you have gold medal refreshment.
First Food Bar at the Palazzo continues the patriotic theme with their red, white and blue inspired drink – FIRST Place. Combining Ultimat Vodka, Blue Curacao, Trader s Vic Orgeat (almond) Syrup, strawberries and lime, this concoction will have you cheering on the athletes.
