Police were called to the InterContinental San Francisco hotel ballroom, located at 888 Howard St., around 10:30 p.m. to assist international discount air travel hotel management when a roughly 800-guest party organized for high school-age students (college students were also in attendance) broke out into several fights, San Francisco police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy said.

Kids today are, for the most part, the same as kids 10 years ago, 20 years ago, and 30 years ago. The difference is that WE are older, so their habits and mannerisms and speech patterns look wrong. As was true then is true now: parenting requires vigilance and just plain paying attention, but even with good parenting, good kids sometimes make bad choices.
