The first thing I did to my '13 Armada SL (with towing package) was to order a 22 magnaflow as well as an S B intake from Jason at burtman industries. He was very good to work with and shipped out my muffler immediately. The S B took a bit longer to arrive, but it wasn't his fault by any means (a separate review of the S B will follow once I install it.
1.Installed on a Saturday April 13th---66 miles on the ODO. I noticed that upon startup that it was very quiet, driving under normal load around outer banks vacation home rentals town, I noticed almost no sound difference. Full throttle I noticed a little more grunt, but not much.
2.Highway driving on Monday outer banks vacation home rentals April 15th---102 miles on the ODO. No drone at any highway speeds (55-75 mph) in the dreaded 1500-2200 range. At this point I was a bit dissapointed at the lack of any noticeable sound difference, but I knew the muffler was still breaking in.
3.Friday April 19th----500 Miles on the ODO. Magnaflow muffler seems to be broken in. Very nice sound at start up (nice deep v8 rumble). Very good tone cruising around the neighborhood, outer banks vacation home rentals you definitely know you've outer banks vacation home rentals changed out the muffler, but in a good way. No card in spoke sounds at all.
4.Saturday April 20th----550-600 miles driving around town and a lot of freeway driving with my wife and 2 kiddos in the car. My wife likes the deep rumble while driving through the neighborhood, we can talk with out kids while at freeway speeds with no issue. My wife drove her mom and dad for a while and her dad made the comment that the Armada had a nice smooth tone.
Not really. Houston is very flat, and while cruising on the freeway I can have a conversation without any problems. My wife hasn't said the resonance bothers her and our kids haven't said anything either. However, I can understand where people who live in parts where there are a lot of hills and elevation changes outer banks vacation home rentals will say the 22 muffler has drone. outer banks vacation home rentals If I set the cruise control anywhere between 65-75, the muffler is really outer banks vacation home rentals quiet. If I start going up an incline or bridge, I did notice some drone, but not bad at all...may be a different story if it stayed that way the whole drive on the freeway. outer banks vacation home rentals I guess I'm lucky Houston is flat. I also average 21 mpg on the freeway at 75mph.
Thank you! I am going to sound pushy but would it be possible to take a video incabin + startup + rev of the exhaust? I am on the verge of buying it but have a 3 month baby so if it is too loud I need to find a fix.
