Remember wayyyyyy back in the spring when we went to Bulgaria ( here here ) and then to Istanbul ( here )? Well we also made a stop in Greece. At the time I felt like I was getting obnoxious with the travel posts. We went to Bulgaria, we went to Istanbul blah blah blah. So I thought I would save it for a rainy day. While not really foreign service related, there is no way we would have ever been able to bring our cuties to Greece if it weren t for the Foreign Service. So thats my weak weak tie in. It was actually a pretty hilariously terrible trip. We had rented rent a luxury car for one day in chicago a car in Bulgaria to drive to the Black Sea and Istanbul. They gave us a nice SUV and we enjoyed driving it around but um, well we are a large family and road trips are messy. The plan was to rent a car to drive to Greece and pay the extra to leave it at the airport instead of returning it. At the very very last minute the car company decided they didn t want to let us do that. Luckily there was a brief reprieve of rain while we strolled down the main streets of the tiny town.
