BATON ROUGE A Republican attorney from Baton Rouge is the first woman considering the still-developing race for the 6th Congressional District, which includes the northern sections of Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes.
The latest hopeful is Cassie Felder, who is undecided with time to spare, since the primary election isn t until Nov. 4, 2014, with a runoff to follow a month later, as needed. The seat is expected to be left vacant by U.S. Rep. Bill Cassidy, R-Baton Rouge, who has announced his intentions to run for the U.S. Senate next year.
