Hi, is anyone familar with this hotel and its proximity to restaurants and supermarkets? My husband, 2 children, and I will be in Orlando this fall, and are staying at this hotel. As both of our children are in car seats, we are trying to avoid having to rent a car if possible (I know there is a shuttle to/from the airport hotel, as well as to/from the Disney parks and hotel). However, we will need to get to a supermarket at some point to get some baby food, diapers, and things of that sort.
This is a great property- I love it - but it's not esp kid friendly - more for adults than little ones. (They have multiple golf courses, moderate to upscale rstaurants, groups of on-site villas and lots of more adult activities.)
You need a rental car if you are going to stay at the Hyatt with small children. Yes, shoukld have mentioned that the hotel has a smallish conference center attached (we actually did one meeting there) london hotel deal and the facilities and restaurants are really primarily for conferencce goers and other adults. I believe they do have a kids pool as well as the adult poll complex - but there are very few kids there versus most places in orlando.
