Metrorail fares will increase 3%, on average, and most Metrobus routes will now cost $1.75, no matter if you pay with cash or SmarTrip. Today, the buses cost $1.60 with SmarTrip, $1.80 cash. Parking rates at Metro lots will go up 10 , except at some Prince George's County lots, which will cost 60 more.
Michael Perkins : WMATA missed another opportunity to make their parking pricing make sense. They raise the rates universally by only 10 , and put an additional 50 on most lots in Prince George's vancouver corporate travel agencies County, even though there's already a large east/west divide in ridership, and the PG County lots are less crowded than other parking lots.
For the 2016 fare update, WMATA staff should do their homework and get ready to implement something similar to BART. BART staff are allowed to periodically review and adjust the parking rates in their parking lots based on demand.
vancouver corporate travel agencies For the cash fare on bus business, I think WMATA made the right call. The cash discount was causing a lot of people to load one trip's worth on a SmarTrip card and then use it immediately just to get the SmarTrip discount.
vancouver corporate travel agencies Dan Malouff : Just to keep up with inflation since WMATA's last fare hike in 2012, fares should rise between 2-3%. The Metrobus hike is a lot, but the Metrorail hike of 3% is not much more than inflation. But even buses are matching inflation over the long term. A DC Metrobus fare in 1975 was 40 . Adjusted for inflation, that would be $1.75 today.
Ben Ross : I find it very disappointing that WMATA has paid for lesser fare increases by cutting funding for bus priority corridors. It is very hard to take long-range plans for expensive "bus rapid transit" seriously if the area isn't willing to make modest vancouver corporate travel agencies investments in making its buses move more rapidly now.
Malcolm Kenton : WMATA still needs to institute some form of daily, weekly and monthly pass that covers both bus and Metrorail. Nearly every other big city transit agency that operates both bus and rail offers passes that cover both. If a 7-day "short trip" rail pass is $36 and a 7-day bus pass is $17.50, perhaps a 7-day "short-trip" rail pass that also includes vancouver corporate travel agencies unlimited bus travel could be $50.00. Similarly, a 28-day rail-plus-bus pass could be $260.00.
It's interesting to note that the deal remains in place that allows those with current weekly or monthly MARC train tickets to ride local buses in both the DC and Baltimore regions, as well as the Baltimore subway and light rail, at no additional cost. At $175.00, a MARC monthly ticket between Baltimore and DC is a great bargain for those who also travel extensively within either metro area: the only other form of transit it doesn't cover is Metrorail.
Can WMATA's rationale for these hikes be tied directly to any change in federal funding, or to a change in any particular jurisdiction's share of funding? Or simply to declining ridership and/or increasing costs?
Michael Perkins : Even better than that, the MTA sells a zone 1 bus pass that's good on all WMATA services as well as service in Baltimore. The Transit Link Card is just a hair under $200 and is good for everything. It covers rail and bus. Unlimited everything, including zone one MTA commuter bus and all the MTA service in Baltimore too. I don't know that there are any restrictions. Someone should try it.
The thing is on autopilot. I don't think Metro staff or the board really look at it so it just goes up with inflation every year, even though the peak long distance rail fare has outpaced inflation for a decade.
Metro has some of the highest fares in North America. I think only the London Tube has higher fares in the world. On the other hand, the trains are bursting with people. The London Tube also has reasonable passes, unlike Metro, vancouver corporate travel agencies and a congestion charge.
Myles Smith : I was surprised how close Metrorail was to the actual vancouver corporate travel agencies per-rider cost, with taxpayers subsidizing the fares by only about 20%, was it? Metrobus was more heavily subsidized, something like 60% by taxpayers. And any discussion of it should compare these subsidies to those of public streets for private vancouver corporate travel agencies vehicles (a 100% subsidy).
Jim Titus : We should not have to revisit every policy question related to equitable burden sharing, vancouver corporate travel agencies simply to make annual adjustments to account for inflation. And for the most part, they didn't. 55 comments Tags: fares , Metro , Metrobus , WMATA , WMATA Board , WMATA budget
Add a comment The Copenhagen Metro has much higher fares than our Metro (in reference to the line about London being the only one more expensive). Traveling within the downtown zone (a fairly small area) requires you to buy a two-zone ticket, which is 24DKK (approx. 4.42 USD) for one ride. There is no one-zone ticket, so 24DKK is your base fare.
WMATA should remove the Savings Calculator from the site. The costs of driving are always debatable (especially if the car is owned regardless of usage), but for many people vancouver corporate travel agencies in the region even WMATA s calculator shows it can be more expensive to use Metrorail. Of course the rail commute can be much longer too.
Myles Smith, I don t believe those discussions of subsidies promote anything worthwhile. They just make things needlessly divisive. Those 100% public subsidized streets for private vehicles are not used solely by private vehicles. Also, buses service a much greater area than rail. All modes of transit are not created equal. Ideally, people have more choices.
When comparing prices vancouver corporate travel agencies of transit systems I usually compare the price of things that people who regularly commute would use, since the amount that transit systems try to screw over tourists varies so much.
Even in Innsbruck, which is tram and bus, the base fare for within the downtown zone is 2 Euro (2.75 USD). If you re coming vancouver corporate travel agencies in from outside the downtown limits, the fare is 3.40 Euro (4.68 USD). If you re passing through downtown from outside to another outside point, vancouver corporate travel agencies the fare is 5.2 Euro (7.15 USD).
Of course, the service in all of these places vancouver corporate travel agencies is far superior, but you do pay for it. And they generally don t discriminate between modes of transportation for price -- one price per distance or zone, whether it s on bus, tram or transferring.
I often use a similar method when comparing prices of tickets for sports vancouver corporate travel agencies events, Michael Perkins. I compare the season ticket prices instead of the individual game day ticket. You re walking distance to East Falls Church(?) though. For many people, the parking cost and base fare are the true base price. How do the parking prices compare when looked at as part of the same service instead of trying to equally value them all as parking in the busiest areas of the region?
Paratransit rates going down....I know they are some of the most dependent on the system, but it keeps looking like Metro is being built and subsidized more and more for them at the expense of 98% of the ridership.
I thought I ve read that WMATA doesn t sell many monthly passes. If true, why raise the price? I guess it s simply screwy pricing logic like their parking vancouver corporate travel agencies pricing that people here have pointed out many times.
So is it fair that only riders take it on the chin and not WMATA employees who just received cost of leaving raises that no one else in the Public Sector (and few in the private vancouver corporate travel agencies sector) has received in the last 6 years and those same employees receive health and retirement benefits that many riders can only dream of.
If I sound cranky its because it is hard for me to find reasons to feel good about the surly WMATA staff I deal with every day, most of whom already make more money than I do, getting another vancouver corporate travel agencies raise on my back.
@Michael Perkins: vancouver corporate travel agencies Additionally, they aren t compatible with SmartBenefits, and they don t even bother to make them an actual monthly pass instead of four weeks. Clearly, WMATA has no interest in anyone actually buying a monthly pass.
So when the Silver line opens, I ll go back to buying a TLC+commuter bus pass for $200 a month. I ll have to use a paper fare card that tends to lose its magnetism in a few weeks, which is obnoxious, but otherwise it s better than any other option.
@Aldo Kelrast: Precisely. I object to the fare hike, like I objected to the last one. Whether it s distributed fairly or not, I d argue that it s not fair in the least given the paucity of decent service. I expect to get what I pay for, and what I pay for with Metro is light-years away from what I get. It s pathetic.
I, for one, support the unified fare for smartrip/cash vancouver corporate travel agencies on the bus. The higher cash fare could have actually been considered a regressive pricing scheme - the poor are less likely to use smartrip vancouver corporate travel agencies cards, I imagine vancouver corporate travel agencies (guessing here).
Anyway, assuming the bus fare of $1.60 was the "old fare," the increase vancouver corporate travel agencies to $1.75 is a 9.3% increase, which seems steep in percentage terms. Bus fares were last raised in July 2012, from $1.50 to $1.60. Inflation from July 2012 (according vancouver corporate travel agencies to CPI-U, seasonally adjusted) to Feb 2014 was 2.8% - by the time July rolls around it will be 3.1% ish, most likely. The bus fare increase is triple the inflation vancouver corporate travel agencies rate since the last increase.
Mr. Johnstone s complaint about the subway fare in DC forgets the reality that Metrorail is a blend of subway and electric commuter vancouver corporate travel agencies railroad. How do Metro s fare s compare with BART, the closest equivalent system.
Malcom Kenton: If a 7-day "short trip" rail pass is $36 and a 7-day bus pass is $17.50, perhaps a 7-day "short-trip" rail pass that also includes vancouver corporate travel agencies unlimited bus travel could be $50.00. Similarly, a 28-day rail-plus-bus pass could be $260.00.
No, no, no. This is the entire problem with WMATA s thinking. That price is INSANE for anyone who lives in the core and could actually use a monthly pass for discretionary non-commuting trips. It s equally insane that the current vancouver corporate travel agencies pass only covers rail.
What WMATA actually needs is a monthly shorter-trip bus/rail pass in the $90-120 range (like every other peer system in the country offers). Keep that expensive one for the long-distance, park-and-ride vancouver corporate travel agencies commuters, and offer something vancouver corporate travel agencies useful for those

I am a big fan of Asda it has to be said, I probably visit our local Asda Living store at least once a week with the children because I love their baby section, they have a larger range of baby foods than our local supermarket orbitz car rental and I’m a sucker for their children’s clothing too since it is such great quality at a really affordable price.
On one of my recent visits I bought orbitz car rental a new Travel Cot for Jelly Bean since he had outgrown his bassinet.  I chose the RedKite Sleeptight Black Travel Cot which is perfect for our needs.  It is by far the easiest travel cot I have ever used to put up and take down, the materials all feel good quality, it is light to handle yet it feels sturdy and it all folds down into a protective carry bag so now all we need is a holiday to test it out!!

Book through an agent. Cruise lines are strict about keeping pricing consistent across the board—so if you find a discount offered online, your agent should have access to the same rate. “The playing field is pretty level in terms of what vendors can sell a cruise for,” says Carolyn Spencer Brown, editor-in-chief of cruisecritic.com . When deals do pop up, they usually take the form of onboard credits, world travel guide excursions, and other perks. Note the fine print: a lower price online could be for a different cabin category and may not include the same extras. Given the potential for confusion, it’s no surprise that 80 percent of cruisers still book through a travel agent, says T+L’s cruise editor, Jane Wooldridge. “If you don’t care what ship you’re on or where you’re going, you can buy a cruise like you would an airline ticket, and just grab a good deal you see online.” But agents can offer insight and advice that a website cannot. The best of them will be familiar with the features and quirks of a ship, will tell you if upgrades become available later, and may get you access to onboard welcome parties. (If you’re world travel guide using miles for your flights, they can also help you obtain air credit.) “In general, you’re not going to pay more to book through world travel guide an agent,” world travel guide Wooldridge says—yet the advantages are clear.

Overwater bungalows are an escape fantasy made real, with water lapping under a hut poised on stilts

Overwater bungalows are an escape fantasy made real, with water lapping under a hut poised on stilts in a serene, aquamarine lagoon. los angeles county jail inmate A new site, Overwater Bungalows , makes it easy to comparison shop for a resort where you can walk in your bare feet and admire romantic sunsets out the open door. The site lists every single overwater bungalow in Bora Bora and beyond.
los angeles county jail inmate French Polynesia offers the most romantic of overwater los angeles county jail inmate getaways, but $800 is the typical starting price. Thankfully, Overwater Bungalows has found resorts that are both better priced than Tahiti and still within a belly flop of the ocean. Here are a few for under $300 a night or so, now through January.
Near the San Blas Islands, about a half-hour by plane from Panama City (around los angeles county jail inmate $70 round trip), the Coral Lodge's six casitas all sit over the water. They boast soaring roofs and creature comforts like Jacuzzis and air-conditioning. The tiny, remote resorts do a marvelous job of re-creating the magical thatched-roof South Pacific look and vibe. 011-507/317-6754, corallodge.com , from $240 a night per couple (including los angeles county jail inmate tax of about 15 percent) through October (the off season), and then $263 a night for dates in November through Christmas.
" target="_blank" Raiatea Hawaikik Nui Hotel, whose lodgings are 120 miles northwest of Tahiti by speedboat. The lodgings have high ceilings and oversize verandas. los angeles county jail inmate Trade winds make up for the lack of A/C. 800/657-3275, pearlresorts.com/hawaiki , overwater bungalows at $291 a night, including tax, for stays during October.
Popular Moorea (within easy reach of Tahiti by ferry or plane) is home to Club Bali Hai , which arguably invented the overwater bungalow in the 1960s. Says Overwater Bungalows , based on an inspection: "Being perfectly honest, the Club Bali Hai is only a good choice for those who want an affordable and novel accommodation with a stunning view. The facilities are quite dated and will disappoint those who come with high expectations. On the other hand, the location near many other restaurants and bars makes it an extremely easy and cheap place to stay on an island with very few choices in this price category. The location is deep within Cook’s Bay with amazing views of Moorea’s mountains." 877-426-7262, clubbalihai.com los angeles county jail inmate , from around $250 a night (including taxes) if you book for a week or so.
More gorgeous overwater los angeles county jail inmate bungalows can be found at OverwaterBungalows.net . That said, the site's operator, Roger Wade, cautions that "$300 is just a bit below the sweet spot for some really nice places. Those who can go up to $400/night have loads of great options, and even $350/night gets some good choices."
Budget Travel Tip: Once you're at these resorts, you're truly at these resorts: They're remote, and dining los angeles county jail inmate on-site is usually the only option. So include a budget for food costs as you comparison shop. Another tip: Ask for the most secluded hut because sound carries far over water and you don't want to be hearing your neighbor's sounds.

Last weekend at the New York Times Travel Show on the Hudson River in Manhattan, WalletPop cornered

Last weekend at the New York Times Travel Show on the Hudson River in Manhattan, WalletPop cornered Pauline monte carlo hotel and casino las vegas Frommer, the first female editor of a major guide book series, to ask her for the biggest travel bargain of the year. It's Las Vegas, where rooms can be had for as little as $10 a night, followed closely by cruising, where cabins are going for $42. As Arthur Frommer confirmed during an address to the crowd on the same day, there's a very good reason why both of these vacation destinations are going so cheap, and surprisingly, is the same reason for both. Arthur Frommer is a budget travel legend. In the 1950s, when passenger jet planes arrived monte carlo hotel and casino las vegas and everyone could finally travel the way only the wealthy, jet-set crowd had done, he pioneered the guide book written for the common man's income and sensibilities. His Europe on $5 a Day series popularized international travel among all classes. WalletPop's Jason Cochran has worked with Frommer at the magazine he started, with his daughter, Pauline, on several of her guides (Orlando, London, and San Francisco), and with both halves of the budget travel dynasty as a co-host for their national radio show.

I wanted to do a quick post on some things that you must learn if you love to travel. This will not only keep your travel easier but will also keep you looking good in your travel photographs. After all, those photos will be your lovely memories
1. Basic Makeup : Learn how to do the basic makeup. airline ticket discount tickets As it is when you are travelling you cannot do much but basic grooming is a must. Basic makeup such as tinted moisturiser, eyeliner, blush and a lipstick/ lip gloss is enough if you get it right. They would add a bit of freshness to your face and obviously enhance airline ticket discount tickets your pictures.
2. Basic Blow-dry : This is so important. You MUST learn how to do your basic blow dry / iron your hair. That not only keep the frizz away but all keep your hair looking good all the time. This time during the trip the blow dryer in my room was not working so I thought I d get my blow-dry done at the salon. Unfortunately, the hotel salon was completely booked. So I convinced them if I could come to their salon and do my hair on my own. They gladly agreed. So I could look decent in my pics. Also, some basic hair styles would be an additional bonus.
3. Iron your clothes : Sometimes airline ticket discount tickets the ironing is so expensive at the hotels, you just don t want to pay for it. And sometimes it s not the money crunch, it s the time crunch. I only notice my crushed clothes  at the last moment. :| All the hotels have an iron and an iron board provided in the room. If not, ask for one. My mom forcibly taught me how to iron my clothes. Well! I was super finicky about getting the perfect pleats in my uniform skirt so she basically asked me to do it myself. Now I can t thank her enough.
4. Research : Do a bit of research about the place you are going to beforehand. This will not only help you plan your wardrobe better but will also let you know about the place etiquettes. For example in some places in middle east, it is rude to show too much skin. In fact even find out about the services that you hotel may be offering. You know..just the basic things.
5. Bargaining : Don t be rude to the locals, airline ticket discount tickets first thing. Bargain politely but you can bargain just about everywhere. airline ticket discount tickets Use your judgement. A smile and a polite attitude definitely helps in getting you a good bargain.
Loved the tips Rati. I didnt know about the blow drying thing. I mean I always stayed away from blow drying fearing it d add more frizz to my already frizzy hair. I have dry, thin air. Do you think blow drier would help?
u always share so useful and interesting things keep them coming , seriously airline ticket discount tickets apart from everything else I need to perfect the art of blow drying my own hair as I have extremely frizzy hair which look pathetic immediately after washing and it takes me forever to style them, hence I love getting it done at salons but its not always possible
U bet Rati! I hv seen women wearing heels up at Mountain at Gondola in gulmarg, airline ticket discount tickets they were actually climbing mountain at stage 2..and i was like WTF..i was struggling even in my sneakers..,comfy shoes r a must.
3. For areas of high humidity or areas with water scarcity, do not expect to wash clothes; pack more sets of clothes, or at least more undergarments. airline ticket discount tickets I learned this from my trip to Rajasthan, and this tip came handy when i visited Cherrapunjee last monsoon.
Packing sanitary napkins/ airline ticket discount tickets tampons in handbags helps a lot while traveling to near or far places. I have 2 or 3 in each of my handbags so that I need not worry about them while shifting things from one bag to another each time I change hand bags

You've probably heard by now that the value of the euro has sunk against the greenback, making windstar cruise lines travel to Galway or Geneva a tremendous bargain . But before booking that flight for the European getaway of your dreams, take a look at this article , which highlights some disturbing news: Once you get to your Old World paradise, you may find that your American credit cards don't work.
What's going on here? Aren't all credit cards created equal? Not exactly. We here at WalletPop have told you before about the recent popularity across the pond of so-called windstar cruise lines "chip and pin" credit cards that include a microchip as an added security feature. Because they cost more to produce, U.S. banks aren't issuing them, which is problematic because some venues in Europe -- such as train stations with ticket machines -- no longer accept our American-style credit cards.
Unfortunately, according to John Ulzheimer, president windstar cruise lines of consumer education for Credit.com , there isn't a lot travelers can do about this situation. windstar cruise lines "European Union efforts windstar cruise lines for security are passing us by a little bit, and I haven't heard hide nor hair of chip and pin in the U.S.," he told WalletPop in a recent windstar cruise lines interview.
Ulzheimer offers some suggestions for Americans planning to take their credit cards on European vacation this summer. To cover your bases, you can pre-pay for things like your hotel stay and rental car, but restaurants and retailers will be hit or miss. Carrying windstar cruise lines cash is one option. If that doesn't appeal to you, another -- albeit more complicated -- solution would be to go to a bank or major retailer once you arrive at your destination and buy a prepaid credit card that you can load up with your spending money.
Keep in mind, this inability to accept non-chip and pin cards isn't universal, so it's possible to travel to Europe, hand over your credit card left and right, and never experience a problem. But as Ulzheimer points out, it behooves you to have a backup, even if that just means tucking a 20-euro note into a discreet location in case you're stuck on a train platform with no way to purchase a ticket.

It might not feel like it, but air travel's a steal compared to what it was a half century ago. Since the American airline industry was deregulated in 1978, ticket prices have fallen by about 40%. Of course, air travel isn't quite as luxurious as some postwar dreamers imagined , but you can't beat that price. So just how much more did it cost to fly in the 1950s? Quite a bit, once you adjust for inflation.
The May 27, 1955 issue of Collier's magazine included an ad from the now-defunct Trans World Airlines avis car rental sonoma county airport (more commonly called TWA ), which gives a fascinating peek at the price of air travel at the dawn of the Jet Age. The world was indeed getting smaller thanks to the airplane. And compared to rail and bus, TWA wanted Collier's readers to know that if you took into account the travel time and cost for meals, going by plane wasn't that much more expensive. Don't forget, your travel time is worth money, too! the ad exclaimed.
A one-way flight from Los Angeles to Kansas City would set you back $68, or about $575 adjusted for inflation. avis car rental sonoma county airport Today, if you book two weeks out, you can get that same one-way flight for $183 on Alaska Airlines (according avis car rental sonoma county airport to a Travelocity search I just did). You'll also get there in 3 hours and 11 minutes, compared with TWA's 1955 quoted time, which is 5 hours. However, today's time-sucking dance of security theater probably avis car rental sonoma county airport makes that two-hour savings a wash.
I've included a scan of the prices from the TWA ad below, along with some inflation adjusted numbers under that. Remember that these are one-way ticket prices avis car rental sonoma county airport and don't reflect avis car rental sonoma county airport the price of getting home, which could be higher than the price to get you to your first destination.
So why has air travel become so relatively cheap? The answer can be found in fewer amenities (remember when meals and things like checking a bag didn't cost extra?), the cramming of more seats into planes, and the rise of non-union carriers.
This all raises questions about the transportation technologies of tomorrow. If you're under the age of 30, not much about transportation has changed avis car rental sonoma county airport that radically in your lifetime — aside from the price! Will Elon Musk's new much-discussed Hyperloop tech deliver that cool new futuristic mode of transportation we've been waiting for? And if so, can it be done at a price average Americans can afford?
Of course, we see air travel as essential to the American economy today. So much so that most Americans figured it was a no-brainer to bail out the industry after the September 11th attacks. But it's also become commoditized, a mundane and irritating chore that's far from the futuristic luxury it was sold as in the 1950s. That's the trade off for relatively affordable accommodations. And the price of any futuristic transportation, along with the political avis car rental sonoma county airport savvy of its boosters will determine its fate in these decades to come.

I would say Punta Del Esta in Uruguay. You kind of need to take a plane from Buenos Aires to get to

I recently visited doubletree hilton hotels houston Buenos Aires, Argentina and I have to say, my experience was starkly contrasted with Charlie s. I am not going to rehash everything Charlie covered so I strongly suggest you read his article first , and then my counter to it. I also have to preface my reflections by saying that Argentina is at the beginning of another one of their famous catastrophic currency crises doubletree hilton hotels houston (others may argue that they re well in the middle of it but I think this is the tip of the iceberg), so your mileage may vary in terms of prices.
Since I already touched on the currency crisis, let s start with prices. If spending US Dollars or Euros everything was cheap, cheap, cheap when I was there. The official exchange rate would have made things moderately doubletree hilton hotels houston priced (note: still not expensive, by any means) but only a fool transacts business at the official exchange rate. If you have Euros (or US Dollars) you change them to Argentine Pesos on the Blue Market (read: grey or black market). Just head on down to Florida St and you will easily find Blue Market money changers. I don t know if they have a special price for gringos that they swear by or if the market is just very efficient but I didn t find much give between one guy and another. doubletree hilton hotels houston I was quoted rates that varied by only about 1% to 2% and the variance seemed to be more about how much I wanted to change rather than which guy I was talking to. So in other words there wasn t much to be gained by hard nosed negotiation. When I was there they were changing at the rate of about 17 pesos per Euro or 12 pesos to the US Dollar. There are online resources such as DolarBlue.Mobi that give Blue Market rates and I found it to be fairly close to what I could get on Florida St but you travelers must be aware that the rate can fluctuate significantly even over the course of a day.
So with the changing money topic out of the way let s discuss prices. Taxis were the equivalent of $4-$6 USD pretty much anywhere I wanted to go within the center and they also seemed doubletree hilton hotels houston to be honest, which is something I consider to be a big plus since ripoff taxis are a major problem for travelers in many other world cities. Dining and drinking out was the cheapest doubletree hilton hotels houston I ve ever seen in any big city of that size and caliber. Wine and beer was commonly available for between 20-30 pesos (~$1.70-$2.50 USD). My dining experiences were the complete opposite of Charlie s. Of course steak is a big part of the menu, Argentina is one of the world s largest producers of beef but I had no trouble finding doubletree hilton hotels houston alternatives including vegetarian fare. The place for eating and drinking out is in Palermo and you will find many options. I ate high quality filet mignon with all the trimmings (read: delicious sauce or marinade and at least two garnishes on the plate such as fresh salad and a caramelized onion tort) for 115 pesos ($9.60 USD) with extremely drinkable local read and white wines for 84 120 pesos ($7 $10 USD). This kind of food was pretty much universally doubletree hilton hotels houston available. Palermo really reminded me of New York City or even the Hollywood neighborhood in Hong Kong just with less Asians and less hills. Long story short, dining and drinking doubletree hilton hotels houston out was a high point of the trip.
I also found boutique hotels in Palermo to be of high quality and exceptionally low prices. The place I stayed had posted rates of $70 USD with the rate in pesos changing according to the idiotic whims of the corrupt government. Incredibly, doubletree hilton hotels houston above and beyond the available currency arbitrage they were offering a 15% cash discount for USD or 10% for Argentine Pesos the joys of a currency crisis, gotta get those Pesos and spend them before the become more worthless than they already are and even the day or two it takes to process a credit card payment apparently can count for something significant. Anyway, the bottom line is I paid only the equivalent of only $42 USD for a room with a posted rate of $70 for an effective discount of 40% off what was already a fairly low price for the quality of the room I got and the location. Nightly happy hour 20 Peso ($1.70) drinks in the lobby didn t hurt my experience either.
Having covered prices, food, drinks and hotels let s move on to the women. Again my experience was very different than Charlie s. I found the porteñas to be classy, well dressed and beautiful with many real stunners to be found. I won t say it s Eastern Europe but it was damn close. Although happily committed myself, I hung out with a single friend there and he had absolutely no trouble approaching girls and finding company for himself. On one night the very first table of girls he approached we ended up drinking and partying with till the sun came up. Fun, interesting, laid back, approachable and spoke English. They didn t seem to have trouble paying their own way and all this was happening on a Tuesday . I absolutely cannot reconcile what Charlie had to say about the porteñas with my own experience.
Overall, for western travelers (read holders of Dollars, Euros, Swiss Francs, British Pounds, etc.), doubletree hilton hotels houston I d rate Buenos Aires a Strong Buy .  Even at double the prices I paid I d give it at least a Buy and Hold . Palermo is the go-to neighborhood for hotels, eating, drinking, coffee shops, doubletree hilton hotels houston etc. The prices would have to atleast triple for me to even think about using the words expensive or pricey to describe anything doubletree hilton hotels houston I did in Buenos Aires it is important to remember that Buenos Aires is a major world city, you cannot expect prices that rival middle of nowhere Thailand or Malaysia or something like that although right now I d say Beunos Aires is even a little cheaper than many touristy places in Southeast Asia!
I d like to close with a hilarious anecdote: On my way out I took a ferry out of Buenos Aires. When I went to buy tickets they refused to take my Argentine Pesos , USD or credit cards only (which of course will get you fucked over with the official exchange). The tickets were priced in Pesos, but they wouldn t take Pesos in cash. Incredible. Governments the world over, they re all the lowest form of subhuman scum you will ever find.
@mightytravels You don t need to bring in (much) cash. As a UK resident I used the online company Azimo to send money to myself whilst in Argentina at the blue rate. I think US residents can use Xoom, and there might be other companies serving other countries.
I am a PUA from Buenos Aires, the prices for a apartment here (with furniture) can go between 700 and 800 USD and without furniture are 500USD, the official dolar is now in 8 pesos. The black market dollar or blue dollar is at 11.50.
Good food, beautiful beaches, fun activities, great nightlife, and reasonable-does such a place exist on the beach in Latin America??? Do you guys find the Pacific Side of South AMerica better for surfing???
I would say Punta Del Esta in Uruguay. You kind of need to take a plane from Buenos Aires to get to a decent beach resort. Like so many big cities surrounded by water, you would expect a local beach, but nothing decent nearby that I know. The locals in BA go to Punta. I also recommend the big waterfall, Iguazu for a few nights, it s not a party or resort scene at all, but its pretty amazing and a short flight. Hope that helps. John
Also in Brazil there a bunch of spots like Floriana although I have never been that are supposed to be great. I think in Brazil you will find more of what you are looking for. Punta has gotten a bit snobby, and it ain t all that really. Being from California I m hard to impress beach wise.
I just spent 2 months in BA (Nov Dec). And I agree on cost of iiving benefits. It s a pretty cool city with a very laid back vibe for such a big place The laid backness actually took some getting used to, especially over the holidays which were very low key. I rented a beautfful 3 bed house in Palermo Soho which was amazing and about 1/2 what I pay for a 1 bedroom doubletree hilton hotels houston condo in Singapore. I would say food quality is variable but you can get anything there, it s a big sophisticated city. People are friendly and very encouraging of your pidgeon Spanish (if like me you don t speak Spanish). Girls are very very cool, down to earth, but definitely not the knock out model quality the popular press leads you to believe. The coolness however makes up for it. Net, het, I would definitely go back for a spell, but only after having learned some more Spanish. I m happily ensconced in Singapore for the moment, which is definitely not for the faint of wallet but a great place otherwise. I agreed with some of the knocks against Singapore but have a different take on Singapore except for the fact that it is absurdly expensive. Singapore is actualyl great place also if you can afford it. I m off to Sydney (Bondi Beach) in a month, and will report from there.
Not cheap, $5,500 but it was peak season and very high end, pool on the roof that kind of thing. Still about 1/2 what I pay in Singapore and something comparable in LA would have been 25% more. You can rent a 2 bedroom apt in Palermo for probably $1,500 USD.

We are in the preliminary stages car rentals in rincon puerto rico of planning our southern France/Catalonia/Barcelona car rentals in rincon puerto rico trip for spring 2011. Planning on flying open jaw, first to Toulouse, where we would pick up a rental car, then base in the Dordogne area, near Sarlat for about a week. We would then drive down to the Languedoc area for a few days, before crossing car rentals in rincon puerto rico over the spanish border, across the Costa Brava which we want to explore for a few days before ending in Barcelona for the last 4 days before flying back home. I'd like to know, do we leave our rental car in France re-rent another across the border? I don`t feel like paying a large drop off fee. And if so, where would we drop off the french rental re-lease a spanish one? Is there a train that just crosses over the border? I know we can take a train from Perpignan to Barcelona, but my heart is set on seeing a bit of the spanish coast . We would drop off the car in Barcelona though upon arrival. Thoughts or suggestions?
You could drop the car in Perpignan and take the train across the border as far as Figueres and rent another car there...Europecar, Hertz, and others have rental offices there. You'd be far enough away from Barcelona that you could still do that bit of Spanish car rentals in rincon puerto rico coast you want to see and not be going all that far out of the way before getting into Barcelona itself.
car rentals in rincon puerto rico We did the Costa Brava as a easy day-trip from the Perpignan area (actually Ceret). Another option would be to keep the French car for your entire driving trip, then return to Perpignan dump the car take the train to Barcelona.
I just returned from a trip in this area. We flew into Barcelona, stayed in the city for a few days, then picked up our rental car and drove into France where we stayed for a week near Carcassonne. We then made a slow trip back to Spain, staying near Besalu, returned the car at the Barcelona airport and flew home. There was no stop at the border in either direction, and aside from the fact that we were mistaken twice as Spanish because of our license plate, there were no issues at all driving the car in France.
The international drop off charge is generally at least 400 . I found that out during the volcanic episode. I was just doing a local rental, but everybody else seemed to be wanting to drive from Paris to Madrid or Milan. car rentals in rincon puerto rico They were so desperate that they happily accepted the excess charge (I suppose that a lot of them were being reimbursed by their employers due to it being a business trip.).
It's the fee for picking up a rental car in one country and dropping the car in another country. That's in addition to airport surcharges, taxes, etc. For example, it would be about 270 euros for us to pick up in France and drop off in Belgium. (Taking train.)
I remember a time when there was no drop off fee between car rentals in rincon puerto rico major countries (France Germany) for rentals car rentals in rincon puerto rico of at least two weeks. And in Luxembourg, there was no fee for returning the car in France (and probably Belgium). I have no idea if this has completely disappeared, but it would just take a quick phone call to a car rental company to find out.
When I worked at Avis in Paris, we received a huge number of foreign cars (usually from Germany, Switzerland or Italy) and one of our goals was to send them back to the proper country, or at least in the right direction, within one week. For example, giving an Italian car to somebody leaving the car in Nice was almost as good as if they said Milan. And if someone rented a foreign car to leave it in the correct car rentals in rincon puerto rico country, the drop off charge was waived immediately (it would be really nasty if this has changed). That was one of the advantages of renting a car in one of the biggest stations (train station or airport) -- finding a car for which the fee would be waived. We spent a lot of time phoning other agencies to find an appropriate car. I was working at Gare de Lyon, but somebody looking for a Spanish car to drive to Madrid was totally happy to go to Montparnasse if necessary to get a car with no drop-off fee.
Nevertheless, now that I rent a car about twice a month out of Gare du Nord (almost always from Europcar), and usually just for 2 or 3 day local needs, I have been given an Italian car 3 times. (And that conforms to what we did at Avis. While waiting for long distance rentals, we would rent the foreign cars to our regular customers for a few days.)
Michael, it's more hit and miss. I've had experiences like Kerouac mentions, where they waive the fee (or have a very small one) because I'm doing them the favour of taking the car to its "home". Other times, the fee quoted for different trips and different companies has varied between 50 and 250 or more.
I don't have a magic way to get low drop-off car rentals in rincon puerto rico fees, but I have found that it is worthwhile taking the time to plug the trip into several different web sites (or call specific locations) to see what comes up, before ruling out the possibility. You may have more luck in finding a low fee if you look at airports or train stations for the pick-up.
Also, as someone mentioned earlier, the dance of returning one car to get another could make you lose the price advantage of a longer rental, add on other transport costs and lose time. This has to be factored in when assessing the impact of the drop-off fee.

I am planning on renting a car while I am in Northern Spain in a few weeks and driving around the Pyrenees region. Looking at reservations on autoeurope.com , I'm not sure if I should purchase the basic insurance or inclusive insurance. What have people typically done? Do you think the basic insurance is sufficient?
Be aware that the "inclusive" insurance usually means you still have to pay a deductible if something occurs. However you can also buy (usually at the rental counter) so-called "super jayco 294 travel trailers CDW" for an additional jayco 294 travel trailers amount which reduces that deductible (often up to 1000 Euro) to zero. Be also aware that some insurance plans STILL do not include damage to tires and window glass so be careful as to what the policy does and does not cover.
We are making a similar trip, starting May 18th, picking up in Barcelona. We always purchase full coverage, even knowing that often one's credit card has some types of coverage. I find it confusing to try to understand the coverages and exclusions, and I think the peace-of-mind is worth it, to pay for the coverages.
A friend who lives in Germany, suggested I get a quote from his local travel agent in Germany. I did, and saved a good bit of $. In the past, however, we've always used autoeurope, and have been well served by them.
I always get the basic package if it is available. My credit card covers the CDW without deduction. The one time I had damage to the car, I was fully reimbursed by my credit card. The one potential problem is that the original estimate of the repair costs will be charged to the credit card. The cost differential between basic and inclusive coverage can be significant, especially if one has to add a super CDW coverage to eliminate the deductible.
I am in the same boat, my credit card Capital One, MAster jayco 294 travel trailers Card acts like secondary, which cards act like primary...does anyone knows. ? Frankly I thought all credit cards act like secondary. My car insurance is State Farm. Shall I be ok with the secondary that offers my credit card,...thank you
If you're an American, your credit card coverage will depend on the type of card you use. The premium cards have better jayco 294 travel trailers coverage and American Express offers additional insurance coverage at price ($24.95/rental period up to 31 days) for it's card holders. The Amex Platinum Card covers jayco 294 travel trailers you completely at no additional cost.
Ditto on call the car insurance company, but you may need to take a copy of the credit card company's insurance coverage to show the rental place. Our CC company emailed it to us we had to email it on.
As far as car insurance coverage you should get three pieces of data to be able to get any desicion: 1) what is the rate and coverage from the rental car company, 2) what is the coverage you may already have on the credit card you will be using, 3) what is the coverage you can get by buying travel jayco 294 travel trailers insurance (i.e. Acess America, etc...). As an example, for Spain I get the basic beause btwn the coverage I already jayco 294 travel trailers get from my CC and the travel insurance (I ALWAYS travel with travel insurance) I have full coverage.
jayco 294 travel trailers The only problem jayco 294 travel trailers I forsee is that this card has only a credit of $2500 while the other cards we have have a much higher credit limit, I am afraid that the rental cards charge a lot when renting, does anybody knows how much ? We are renting for only a week for less than $250 dollars.
Mcihael, No, I am not suggesting that the exchange rate will be different than the one used in hotels. My concern is that may be when I rent a car with my Master Card( btw the credit limit is$ 3000), the car rental company besides charging for the rental which is not much aprox.300 usa, might block much more money as a security.
My recollection is that the Palermo agency where I picked up my car blocked 500 , which is manageable for me because I have a higher limit on my card. I do not recall an amount blocked in France, but rather having the credit card number for potential future charges. I think that each agency has its own policy.
Be vary careful in Lisbon Portugal as they refused to allow us to decline the CDW on a Budget jayco 294 travel trailers rental car. The only way would be to block the total cost of the car (28000) jayco 294 travel trailers on our credit card. This is the only time we ran into this! Now we have a greater limit on our credit card!

Does anyone have the answer to this, is there a charge for taking a rental car over the border? discount bermuda cruises departing from boston Im not dropping the car off over the border just visiting Spain from Portugal and returning. Thanks for any advice?
Sorry for the miss. One would have to check with their rental car company. In both Switzerland and France, the rental companies had very large disclaimers discount bermuda cruises departing from boston stating that any car taken into Italy voids insurance of any type.
I'm aware of that, rastaguy (I've probably rented discount bermuda cruises departing from boston 150 cars in Europe), also the caveats about Ireland and some Eastern discount bermuda cruises departing from boston European countries. The OP may want to inquire discount bermuda cruises departing from boston with the rental company, but unless there are new laws, my answer remains the same.
BTW, if headed into Spain, be advised that if you wear prescription discount bermuda cruises departing from boston glasses/contacts, you are required to have a spare pair with you. Also make sure your Portuguese car rental has an emergency breakdown kit, including flares.
Adu, he's renting in Portugal, driving over to Spain for a visit, then returning to Portugal. And unless the law has recently changed (which is entirely possible - if so, mea culpa), he doesn't need an IDP for either Spain or Portugal. It's required in Italy and Austria. It's not a bad idea to have one, I suppose, but I don't believe it's required.
There should not be any charge of taking the car over - as long as you bring it back. But - you do need to check with the specific rental agency - and tell them where you are going - to make sure the insurance discount bermuda cruises departing from boston covers Spain as well.
Say nytraveler says, plus breakdown discount bermuda cruises departing from boston recovery too. It is usually smaller companies that charge for extra insurance etc. That is to get the headline rate down. Never take a car out of the country of origin without discount bermuda cruises departing from boston checking, you may need extra paperwork.
Sometimes when in renting in Europe, you will make arrangements discount bermuda cruises departing from boston with Company A but you will wind up going to the office of Company B. Company A is simply an agent with an arrangement with Company B. I think that last time I made arrangements with AutoEurope but the car rental was Avis. This was in Santiago.
I am sorry to correct this but IDP are required in Spain. The rental agency staff may not check it but the Guardia Civil (Police) do. Fines are high for non compliance. and for about 10 dollars the piece of mind is worth it.
All hire cars in Europe come with very basic insurance. However even the most minor of scratches are taken out from your security payment. So Insure yourself to the max so that you are covered for every event. You can even get cover for tyres and windows.
One time we were visiting family who live about twelve miles from Santiago and we used our rental car to see the coast. While we there they bought 60 pounds of pulpo. They obviously really love pulpo. When we went to retrieve it from the trunk all the plastic bags had broken and the trunk was filled pulpo and it reeked. When we returned the car, we almost ran before they opened the back.
Another time I was in a very cramped underground garage in Santiago and put a dent in the driver's door. Because it was in the same sopt as a previous dent, they did not detect it and we were not charged.
Just a couple of more comments on renting a car in PT, and then, driving into Spain. When you rent, look for an option with no excess. The rental agencies discount bermuda cruises departing from boston in PT can be very picky about little scrapes, scratches etc. Rent a manual and make sure it is diesel, even if it is more expensive. You will save the difference discount bermuda cruises departing from boston on your first fuel purchase.
Not sure if this post is still relevant, but here in the south of Portugal are some rental car companies that...let you drive across the border to Spain with no extra charge (drop off in Portugal again) full insurance cover, all miles/km included, all papers included and and and. And they are budget.

My contract for a rental in France, done through Autoeurope, is in French, and I would not expect it

Is language gonna be an issue? I need to explicitly decline the car rental CDW as per provisionof Amex or Visa. And I'm not signing a contract that's super 8 hotel near disneyland in anaheim california not in English. Quotes below are from Gemut dot com article re: CDW
Qoute 1: "... you will be required to sign a rental contract in the local language super 8 hotel near disneyland in anaheim california - ... Italian, Spanish, etc. That is the law and, though it may do so as a courtesy, the rental company is not required to provide a copy in English super 8 hotel near disneyland in anaheim california (be sure to ask for one, however)."
Qoute 2. "...rental companies no longer super 8 hotel near disneyland in anaheim california obtain customer initials that indicate acceptance or rejection of additional services; just one signature on the bottom of the contract . . . .This shows agreement to all terms of the contract, and that might include a charge for optional insurance."
Knowing that you are an American, will the car company insists on giving you a car rental contract in Spanish? Which I won't sign until they give me one in English. Is there a standard checkbox or paragraph that will make sure I'm declining the car rental company's CDW?
The voucher from autoeurope will be in English. Where are you picking up the car? I have found that's at everyone at car rental super 8 hotel near disneyland in anaheim california places in airports and terrain stations speak English - they deal with tourists all day long. In our experience the agreement has always been in English and they walk you through it and circle the pertinent sections like declining extra insurance, where to return the car and when, and whether it should be full of gas or empty.
IF you have an AMEX card and it doesn't super 8 hotel near disneyland in anaheim california ave the car rental insurance as a benefit [lower end ones don't] I urge you to sign up for it. IT costs $24.95 and it is primary insurance and covers everything. We used it on a rental in France and it was easy to deal with all of the issues regarding damage to car.
They might but pretend you don't understand that part of the conversation. And I read the other day that only 37% of renters purchase the CDW. They are used to being told no. In Norway a couple of weeks ago there was no upselling.
My contract for a rental in France, done through Autoeurope, is in French, super 8 hotel near disneyland in anaheim california and I would not expect it otherwise. On the other hand, the piece of paper I received in Frankfurt from Europcar--for some reason a copy of the full contract with my signature could not be duplicated--is in English.
1. You rent a 4x4 SUV and discover in the contract that you can't drive it off the highway. super 8 hotel near disneyland in anaheim california Why would you rent a 4x4 if you didn't super 8 hotel near disneyland in anaheim california want to drive on unpaved roads? Tough on you if do any damage because super 8 hotel near disneyland in anaheim california the insurance you paid for doesn't cover you off road.
2. You rent a boring sedan on a business trip, go out to dinner, get in a fender bender, and discover that all the rental insurance you paid for is null and void because you had two drinks with dinner. No, you weren't DUI, you ere simply bound by the contract not to drink AT ALL.
I have never seen a rental contract in Europe that was in English. super 8 hotel near disneyland in anaheim california And it's not their responsibility to ensure that you can read and understand it. The vouchers from AutoEurope, super 8 hotel near disneyland in anaheim california Kemwel, etc., are of course in English - they're an American company.
Sure, Michael. E-mail it to me. But I speak/read German, so if it's that you're referring to, I'd actually read it in German rather than the English translation, super 8 hotel near disneyland in anaheim california as I would assume that no rental company super 8 hotel near disneyland in anaheim california can have reliable translations of their contracts in all the many languages that might apply to renters from all over the world.
Ours in Italy have always been in Italian and English...I can't remember in france for sure as we speak French, but I can't ever remember thinking it was a problem. The person has always spoken enough English to explain and circle the important bits before we sign. Have never felt like we don't understand what we are doing...

Paranoid, Johnson has not issued legal proceedings in 2 years after he lost his case in arbitration

I too, have had my deposit kept by David Ballard earlier this year. He also became abusive when I met up with him by chance at Santa Maria golf club, where I spoke to him face to face. I believe that his so called contacts that he uses are not worth the paper that they are written on. This is the typical action of what gives the Costa Del Sol bad press. I live here, and I wish people like David Ballard should go back to the place they come from.
This may sound a little naive but is there no documentation relating to the state of the vehicle when hired, and another signed declaration upon return?. If not, it s no wonder these car rental people try it on.
They didn t notice damage of that magnitude when he returned it ? ? ? They have to get in to park it, and it would have been obvious. Your conclusion, Holmes. It did not happen, Watson. They should be denunciado-ed for attempt deception.
I rented a car from goldcar for a weekend. On the internet the price was 30 euros but after fuel and additional driver, insurance it was 190 euros. I could not claim the half tank of fuel back that was charged airline flight tracking canada at a high rate. This year I am going to run a car of my own in Spain and insure it there. I am always in fear of claims etc and if you pay for additional insurance it is very expensive so what is the point in being ripped off. I now hire from Europcar or Hertz if required. They may sound expensive at the start but they do not have all these con tricks such as all the others I have tried.
We usually rent 3-4 times a year when visiting our place in Andalucia, usually from the cheapest on the net. Always a scam going on somewhere, if not for exhorbitant full fuel tank prices, then for damage when returned. Amparo: I ve personal experience of rental staff refusing to check the car with me upon pick up ( If you don t like it, give me the keys back and rent from someone else. ), and also refusing to check the car when it is returned ( Don t worry, the insurance will cover any damage. ). We ve also been double dipped when a rental was hit by another driver airline flight tracking canada who accepted full responsibility, and the agency collected from the insurers AS WELL AS keeping our deposit! And then the internet broker accepting no responsibility for withheld funds, saying that they will investigate but that these things can take a while (18 months later still waiting). airline flight tracking canada Having your VISA number and a contract airline flight tracking canada where you accept all liability whatever the cause is simply a licence to steal, as my bills clearly show. Spanish, German, English, airline flight tracking canada they re all Car Rental Crooks .
The Olive Press are doing a good job here. As they have reported I also lost my deposit from Brian s Rent a Car. From my own investigation you can find similar stories on the Internet, for example on the Malaga Web Forum and also on the Trip Advisor airline flight tracking canada site.
I d like to congratulate Mr Evans for his courage and tenacity in taking this action. It s time for David Ballard to realise that his scam is over. Rod Wigley said it best David Ballard should go back to the place he came from . I ll second that!
**dyemiller**. If the adage you get what you pay for does not apply to the car rental sector, then it would appear there is a brilliant business opportunity here for someone with a little capital and a sense of professionalism. And then the cowboys would sit up and take notice. I find it difficult to believe no-one fits the bill at the airport.
Whenever I visit the UK I always use Europcar and they don t get their hands on my credit card until I have the status report and they don t get their keys back until I have the return status report. And they have never quibbled.
Since this article was published I have seen statements from the company (Briansrentacar)co-owner Claiming airline flight tracking canada that David Ballard did not make Comments to James Bryce that the people who have made representations to the company to dispute their version of Events are all LIARS.
Comments on Tripadvisor and Malagaweb show several problems with this company, However I now feel this answers airline flight tracking canada those on the site as to who has been telling the truth and who has been telling porkies as one commented!
Rod signed a 12 month contract, payment 1st day of each month. then on the second month 2 hours after he was due to pay he informed us he could not pay and wanted to return the car without any notice and in breach the contract he signed.
He changes airline flight tracking canada his story every year. Johnson dumped our car in the Gap garage in Arroyo on his way to hire another car at the airport. When the car was returned to our garage he was contacted to come inspect the damage on the car which he refused. He was sent photos of the damage and invoices which he ignored.
My company rented a car for me in Spain continuously airline flight tracking canada for 6 years, I needed to change the car every month and renew the contract. We used all the major companies depending on which one was cheapest at any given time. You could say I know a thing or two about renting in Spain.
In reply to Ballard s comment about my initial contract. The truth is that I signed an initial 3 month contract which expired on at the end of March 2012. ( I still have this paper work.) I paid in full to the end of March 2012. I never signed a twelve month contract.I never recieved another contact, so no contract existed. I simply told him I wanted to return the car a month later. He really is a complete liar as we all know. Having paid the March rental and been given a receipt for it, he had the nerve to ask for it again. His records reflect how bad the business is.
No ,he has instead airline flight tracking canada committed fraud by signing a declaration airline flight tracking canada with his credit card company that he did not sign the slip, receive any service or have any dispute regarding the service and now he brags on the internet he has claimed his money back from his credit card company illegally-
does this not show what type of person airline flight tracking canada he really is. We are waiting for the court proceedings he has promised so that we can prove our case before a judge showing the contract Evans signed airline flight tracking canada with no drivers chair broken.
Paranoid, Johnson has not issued legal proceedings in 2 years after he lost his case in arbitration with the Spanish reclamation office, WHY!!!! he too knows he has no chance to prove his case in front of a judge. We only wish he would so we can prove our case with all the photos invoices and emails.
Rod Wigley is typical of the costs del sol conmen, he did not pay his hire contract airline flight tracking canada on time and now posts a pack of statements airline flight tracking canada which are totally untrue, and he too slanders the name of David Ballard without any legal recourse.
I would just like to clarify airline flight tracking canada a couple of points raised by Mr Richardson. Although airline flight tracking canada I have claimed back the money wrongfully taken for my parents account, I provided to the credit card company all the documentation I was given at the time of hire from Mr David Ballard. So the Royal Bank of Scotland fraud unit made the claim on our behalf. Do you think they would have taken that action had I not been able to prove my case ? I think not Mr Richardson. You also forgot to mention you representative Monica who took the vehicle from me personally at Malaga airport and passed the vehicle all in order. From a legal point of view the aim was always to recover monies you took unlawfully. First part of that process was through the credit card company who issued payment, my next actions airline flight tracking canada had that failed would have been to issue you and your company with legal proceedings. However as you well know you lost your case with RBS. And my parents got their money back eventually. In relation to your claims that you will send out documentation from your clients accounts via e-mail to anyone who wants to see it. Well that is a direct breach airline flight tracking canada of the data protection act. And not an action to be recommended. The dealings I have had personally with your company have left a bitter taste. You appear to have more upset customers than any other car hire company in Malaga. Can they all be wrong Mr Richardson or just merely Liars as your partner airline flight tracking canada put it. Anyway my advise would still be to avoid your company airline flight tracking canada at all costs and as I stated to James Bruce in the original article, if this stops anyone else being treated as you have treated us then Iam happy with the outcome. Regards. David Evans.
1. It is not your parents account or if it is you fraudulently presented the card on the contract you signed, you gave the credit card on the contract you signed on the strict legal basis it was your credit card account. You signed the contract and the credit card slip in your own capacity. If it is your parents account airline flight tracking canada you would be required to notify us and they would be required to sign together with you
2. You did not provide to the credit card company RBS all the documents, nor did you inform them there was a dispute, airline flight tracking canada I spoke to the Royal Bank of Scotland regarding the card you provided to us, but they told me the chargeback was claimed on the basis of “not authorised payment” They were not aware the payment was in dispute or they would not claim back. We have sent your signed slip ,contract and damage invoices to RBS and they have promised to review your fraudulent claim back.
The contract airline flight tracking canada you signed states if there is any dispute relating to charges on the contract the matter will be adjudicated by Spanish court or arbitration with AECA and will not be charged back to the credit card. You signed this contract and then ignored your legal liability under the terms of this contract.
3…The royal Bank of Scotland are not an arbitration service and they were shocked when I told them you were claiming they had all the documents in this dispute and they were arbitrating the dispute on a rentacar contract according to you.
Do you honestly believe and ask all the internet to accept, airline flight tracking canada a young girl sent to meet you in departures where the car has to be removed within 2 minutes can inspect a car and approve airline flight tracking canada its condition when you took 35 minutes on receiving the car to inspect it and you did not specify on the contract airline flight tracking canada the driv
