You take a 12 minute walk or 5 minute jog, drop the towel strap on the leash, walk to the north end of the rocks and paddle out. When you are sitting in the water at this spot, there is what seems to be a private beach club house on the beach to the south. Right in front and to the north, is pretty much the Highland beach area, very nice houses, private beaches. NICE WAVES - Hi ! I like to surf Jap rock when its good. But I really like to surf Spanish rental car stores denver airport river Blvd alot. Jap Rock can fire! - I haven't surfed it in over 20 years but I have many fond memories of when I did. Back in the 70's I used to surf it every chance I got if I was in town during cold fronts. Dependent on a north swell for quality it can line up like the mini point break it is to provide some clean down the line surfing. I recall many ,solo or just a few others ,sessions on my 5'6'' Nuuihwa fish with head to a little rental car stores denver airport overhead waves where 100 yd rippable walls were plentiful.
