The Marino Ballena chicago drake hotel National Park is situated in the south pacific coast in Bahia Ballena, in the province of Puntarenas. The park belongs to the Area of Conservation for the Osa region and was officially declared a Marine National Park in 1989.

The Marino Ballena National Park has golden sandy beaches, rocky shorelines, cliffs, islands, mangrove ecosystems, rock and coral reefs. The most prominent land formation found within the park is the Punta Uvita Whale Tail (Punta Uvita Tombolo). This is a sand bar that extends one kilometer into the Pacific Ocean. When the tide is low, visitors can walk out to the Punta Uvita Tombolo where rock reef stretches out creating the shape of a whale tail.
The park also protects a large stretch of coral reef and forms a crescent necklace with the small rock island of La Viuda, one large island called Isla Ballena and three small rocky islands called Las Tres Hermanas. The Marino Ballena National Park is inhabited by marine birds such as pelicans, brown booby and frigates. About 70 species of fish and marine mammals are found here, among them bi-color parrot, bump-head, puffer, butterfly, marlin, tuna, wahoo, etc., humpback whales, brydes, orca, false orca, spotted chicago drake hotel dolphins, spinner, chicago drake hotel crabs, starfish, worms, sea snakes, lobsters, sponges and mollusk.
