As previously reported , the proposal released travel tips Monday travel tips by Mayor Charlie Hales' office travel tips would allow apartment-dwellers with a permit to rent out one or two bedrooms in their primary residence. The cap, the mayor's office said, means the use wouldn't trigger building code standards required for hotels, which most apartment buildings don't meet.
Residents will also need to include notarized approval from the property owner and, where applicable, the homeowners association. The resident would need also need to notify residents in adjacent units and certify that the unit has interconnected smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
