WaterSound West Beach resident Ehan Lyell has created an online petition against the building of the hotel. The petition has more then 7,500 signatures currently with a goal of 10,000. The proposed 44,205 square-foot hotel would have 90 rooms on 2.4 acres.
Lyell writes, I am truly shocked that this project would be considered as it goes against the heart of 30A - it s non-commercial appeal and preservation of beautifully unique neighborhoods. Introducing a chain hotel would change the face of 30A for its residents, friends enterprise rental cars for sale in tennessee and visitors of 30A alike.
The proposed Hampton Inn would certainly bring more tourism to the area, but it would also take away from the feel of 30A. This issue definitely has pros and cons, and it'll interesting to see what happens regarding this project.
