One of the best riding days I've had so far was along the Perdido coast. I left Pensacola, Florida after meeting another warmshower's host along the way who told me about a host who lived in Orange Beach, Alabama only 35 miles away! I was able to get in touch with him and arrange renaissance waverly hotel atlanta for accommodations that evening.
This time I took a more scenic renaissance waverly hotel atlanta route with less traffic and made an effort to avoid the main highway. It was a welcomed break from the hustle and bustle of traffic and having to keep an eye out to avoid the debris along the shoulders.
It was a warm, picture perfect day with the sun shining when I arrived at Perdido Key along the coast of the Gulf bay. With lots of time at my disposal, I rode into one of the many deserted renaissance waverly hotel atlanta beach areas. The white sand stretched out as far as the eye could see and the water was as blue as the sky. It was tranquil and peaceful. I spend at least a couple hours here.
I arrived at my ws host's house and welcomed by Scott and his friendly, cute dog, Bennie. Scott had prepared a warm stew and I felt comfortable. He was a very nice man who had done lots of bike touring. We shared renaissance waverly hotel atlanta stories and not long after I went for a early nights rest.
Hi Steve! The coastal beaches along the gulf have been the most beautiful beaches I ve ever seen! And because it is winter along the coast, I am able to see them without the hustle and bustle of tourists! Delete Reply Cody Ehlers January 2, 2014 at 6:18 PM
