We just found out we can't go to Divi All Inclusive that we booked for half price on Cyber Monday . It's a great rate for 5 nights on May 29-31 with an oceanview room for 4 people. I didn't realize it was a non refundable reservation and we would lose our $419 deposit if we cancel. Divi said we can transfer the reservation airline tickets cheapest to someone else's name so I thought I'd post on the forum in case someone wanted a half price trip to Divi. The balance of $2095 isn't due until 30 days before check in. I'd like to pass the half price deal on to someone else and not lose our deposit if possible. Thanks for any info if this post isn't allowed I'm still learning

What a shame. We also booked with this sale. The cancellation penalty is stiff because the rate was so good. In the past they would return the deposit if it was within 30 days. I was surprised when I saw the terms but decided it was still worth it. Like Andrea says if you have insurance you can recover airline tickets cheapest the money. Would they let you reschedule for a later date?
