Inspired by our Bike Race Biscuit Tin , we ve outlined the 2014 Tour de France route  and looked at our favourite locations playing host to this year’s Tour- with the help of some of our bike race biscuits of course!

It’s at this point in the race that our whistle-stop tour moves over the channel to the French seaside town of Le Touquet-Paris-Plage.   It’s easy to see why Manet and Boudin loved to paint in its glowing light. This year, the first rest day for the tour and the starting point for stage 11 will be the French city of Besançon. It s relatively unheard of outside France, but it s a place all the sweeter for having remained relatively untouched by tourism and was once described as a refuge for men.
