With six stages in the books, the 2014 Tour de France heads into Stage 7 on Friday, which runs from Epernay to Nancy. Sprinters have dominated a large portion of the tour's early goings, and the seventh stage might offer more of the same, though it's not a cut-and-dry win for them by any means.
There are only two significant climbs for this stage, but both come within the final 20 kilometers of the race. The second of those climbs comes with a grade that goes above 8 percent and averages 7.9 percent. From the top, it's just over five kilometers to the finish line, so sprinters won't hold a significant advantage there, especially given that it's primarily downhill.
The day's action will be covered on NBCSN. Their coverage will begin at 8 a.m. ET and run through noon, with a replay later at 8 p.m. through 11 p.m. There will also be video available on NBC's Live Extra streaming if you can't make it to your television.
