This trip was just early this month and this HK-Macau-Shenzhen trip was a pre-birthday celebration. We decided to explore first Macau for a day then Hongkong and a day tour in Shenzhen. This post was entirely for the hotel we stayed for 3 nights travel to mazatlan from canada in Hongkong which was actually a new hotel (only a year old) situated in the west area of Hongkong island in Kennedy town which is near the port area.
We stayed at Dorsett Regency Hotel which I booked online for 3 days for a superior room for around 900 HKD or around travel to mazatlan from canada 120 USD per day. When we got to Hongkong from Macau; we took a cab from the HK-Macau ferry terminal to the hotel which took us around 15-20 mins. The hotel doesn't have an open area and it is just one of the tall building travel to mazatlan from canada in a residential-commercial area of Hongkong island; and since it's near the port/sea, outside you'll have a nice sea breeze and the hotel was surrounded by ample stalls of food and shopping stores. The area is pretty much a safe place to wonder around but the hotel is a little far from the nearest MTR station which is the best way in going around Hongkong but the hotel has its own Shuttle service that brings you to the 3 nearest MTR station in Hongkong island. The nearest station is Sheung Wan station; and from there you can enjoy wondering around the city. Take note that their is schedule of the shuttle trips, so ask the reception for the copy of the schedule.
Also the shuttle service drops you to the airport express station for a cheaper and faster (when there is traffic) means of transportation. Anyway, if you want to ride the Tramway, then Kennedy station is just walking distance from the hotel.
travel to mazatlan from canada The hotel has a different taste of its interior; its lobby has very flash design, while its rooms were very classy yet modern interior. We stayed at a deluxe room with the view of the bay (actually we got an upgrade); and even though the room is small, its interior is classy and stunning. The room also have a very nice view of the port area and the mountain sides. The room has modern features having a flat screen TV, Ipod docks and adjustable lights and the slick furniture completes the room feel - bright, airy and elegant.
Buffet breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant, but don't expect too much since the selection was not that wide and good (dimsum, noodles, rice, fruits, bread and some cereals) and the variety didn't change travel to mazatlan from canada for 3 days we stayed there. And at the same area is just a small lap pool outside. Actually there's nothing much to do in the hotel itself because of the compact hotel space.
Overall our stay was good, and staff was fine and very attentive to our needs but not that jolly or friendly which is typical to Hongkongers. The hotel rate is a little bit pricey but it was compensated with the quality of the room and specially the bathroom. I recommend this area if you don't like the crowded area of East Tsim Sha Tsui or Kowloon area and if you very particular to hotel amenities travel to mazatlan from canada then you'll be just be disappointed. Also since its far from the MTR station and walking is not an option and you don't have budget to take cabs or even wait for the free shuttle service then this is not the hotel for you. This hotel will be best appreciated or suitable to businessman, young travelers, and maybe couples.
