On our travels rent a luxury car for one day in chicago along Route 66 last summer, we were really basically winging it when it came to hotels at night. We were following along in our Route 66 guide book , and we d look at suggestions listed there. One afternoon rent a luxury car for one day in chicago we decided to call ahead and reserve a room at the Historic Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas, New Mexico. I really rent a luxury car for one day in chicago did not expect rent a luxury car for one day in chicago for them to have any availability, but to our surprise, they told us there were plenty of rooms available for that very evening.
We arrived on the square in the small town of Las Vegas, and right away saw the Plaza over on the corner. It was so regal and beautiful with a charm all its own. It was pouring down rain, so Dan went in and got our room key. After getting all of our stuff together, we walked into the lobby, and it was almost like taking a step back in time. I know I ve said that about a lot of our Route 66 adventures, but it was gorgeous, from the wood floors to the beautiful staircase leading us up to our room. The Plaza Hotel was built in 1882 and was known as the Belle of the Southwest. It s now listed on the National rent a luxury car for one day in chicago Register of Historic Places. Its location on the square gives travelers a chance to explore the town of Las Vegas while staying at the Plaza.
As we made our way to our room, I noticed antique furniture . a huge wooden door led into our room, and we walked into a beautiful green themed room with a tall window, that also had a sill large enough to sit on. Our view was the wall of the next building over, but we were happy to be in such a beautiful room. The colors were calming, the furniture was beautiful, and even the bathroom had plenty of room with a tub/shower combo. A pedestal sink gave an old-time feel to the room, as did a couple of old, wooden chairs, other wooden furniture, and an antique looking dresser. It was quite the elegant room with a very old-fashioned feel. Everything was super clean, and we felt right at home.
Just a few extras we enjoyed . kids 12 and under stay free, so our stay was more affordable than we expected. We were able to park our car behind the hotel and get it off the street. They offer free Hi-speed rent a luxury car for one day in chicago wireless internet, and cable tv was also provided in the room. Other services include rent a luxury car for one day in chicago room service, pet rooms, therapeutic massage, meeting/banquet facilities, etc.
If you re hungry, there are two options inside the hotel for a delicious meal, Byron T. s Saloon and the Landmark Grill. We enjoyed a free breakfast at the Landmark Grill the morning after our stay. Jaden enjoyed oatmeal with all the fixin s . Dan had breakfast burritos rent a luxury car for one day in chicago (I think Jacob had this too) . and I enjoyed French toast with eggs and oranges. The food was an excellent way to start our day.
If you re in need of a place to stay while visiting New Mexico or traveling Route 66, I highly recommend the Historic Plaza Hotel. Who knows, you may even run into the ghost of a former owner, Byron T. Mills , who is said to occupy room 310 on the third floor. You can specifically request rent a luxury car for one day in chicago to stay in the haunted room, even on the spookiest night of the year, Halloween.
Either way, you ll enjoy an elegant experience that will probably make you want to spend more time at the Plaza Hotel. Be sure to Like Historic Plaza Hotel on Facebook and follow @LasVegasNewMex on Twitter.
