I ve read several bad reviews about Bali spots lately. Kind of shocking, since just a few years ago

We left Kuta, Bali by taxi for the Southern or Bukit peninsula. Our first view of Balangan was that it was a beautiful beach. We climbed down the steps to find surfer shacks disney cruise prices and giant waves. We had hoped to find an area to watch the surfers but still swim. Balangan was not it. We walked to Dreamland, which turned out to not be my dream.  It has been turned into a viewing spot with tour buses and no accommodation, not that we would want to stay here. We finally negotiated a taxi to Bingin but it brought us to the wrong part so there was more climbing and George walked to Impossible Beach first. George found us Susie s Beach Cottages to stay at for 200,000Rp (about $20usd without breakfast.) Our several days in the South included a walk to Padang-Padang and a motorbike ride to Uluwatu. The sunsets and views were gorgeous, the surfers talented but it is not a great area for snorkelers and swimmers. August disney cruise prices 25-29, 2012
