Andy Murray is reported to be among three potential buyers who have expressed interest in a luxury hotel in his Scottish hometown of Dunblane. Local media report that the world No. 3, who lives in a Surrey mansion in the leafy-green London stockbroker belt. is on the short-list of purchasers of the Cromlix House Hotel, where his elder brother Jamie was married in 2010.
The US Open champion, who has earned nearly $20 million in prize money alone during his career, might be prepared to splash out on the 14-bedroom mansion, set in 2000 acres, and reportedly priced at around $3 million.
The same family have owned the land on which the hotel sits for 600 years and are said to be keen that a local makes the purchase. Local property sources told Scottish media that the deal one way or another should be done by Christmas.
