I recently learned of a new hotel booking site called Tingo , which is owned by TripAdvisor. Tingo will monitor rates at the hotel you book with them and will let you rebook to a lower rate if the prices drops after you've booked your trip!
You're then brought to the results page, where you can filter by Star Rating, Price, Hotel Name, and TripAdvisor rating as well. You can also choose to filter for hotels that offer "Price Drop Rooms", which are hotels that offer the ability to book at a lower rate. After doing a few searches, it seems that most hotels offer this option so you don't have to severely limit your options in order to save a few bucks.
There doesn't seem to be any limit to the number of hotels, which I'm not surprised at given TripAdvisor's booking engine is likely behind this site as well. Tingo also offers what they call "Free Upgrades". Hotels comfort inn dover new hampshire will often times change room rates after you've booked a hotel – including rooms that are better than the one you booked. Tingo says that it will monitor room rates and let you know if a better room is available for the same price or less. If a room does become available, they'll let you know and you can switch to the upgraded room for free! If it works like they say it does, that is a pretty cool feature. I wouldn't expect to be "upgraded" to the Presidential Suite, but a larger room is never a bad thing!
I haven't used the site yet, but it seems that for regular trips, it might be a great site worth checking out. Even if prices don't drop and you can't get an "upgrade", they still offer a low price guarantee, meaning you can rest easy knowing you got the best rate available!

A little bit of deja vu Bryce! Back on April 6, 2012 you had a blog post on Backbid. In the comments I mentioned this new site Tingo. It s an interesting concept, though certainly not unique to the travel booking landscape (as I mentioned in the comments 18 months ago sites like Autoslash have been doing this for car bookings for a while). I still haven t used them but am surprised that 16 months later they are still pretty obscure.
