We had several days of bad weather preventing our leaving the Bungalow. This was to be a week s vacation of sun and beach. Suddenly with three days of non stop rain, we had time to read and watch Henry s amazing collection of important films. We were able to dial down from the fast pace, and open our eyes to what the 1920 s were like when people lived the simple life (people were not poor, they just didn t have any money - as evidenced by small closets). My husband and I opened our eyes to the charms and rewards of bungalow living in the 21st Century. Tampa is one of the premier cruise port destinations in the South. Erehwon Retreat is less than 5 miles from the Port of Tampa and we coordinate our two properties to ship arrival and departures schedules. Our cottage turnover day is Sunday coordinated with the Carnival Cruise Lines Legend, Holland American's Ryndam, and Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Dawn. Mondays are turnover day for the Bungalow coordinated for Carnival Cruise Line's Paradise and Caribbean Cruise Line's Brillance of the Seas. This coordination allows passengers to take more time sightseeing, and taking in the cultural fair of the city of Tampa.
