BLUE SPRINGS, Mo.  A bride and groom from Blue Springs say their perfect day has been ruined. The pair claims a travel agent took their money and gave them confirmation numbers, but as it turns out the reservations were never booked.
The bride and groom say nearly 50 people were supposed to leave from KCI en route to Tulum, Mexico for Jana Kaiser and Garrett Siemer s wedding this Friday. Instead, when people in the group started checking confirmation numbers last weekend, both the airline, and their resort told them those numbers didn t exist.
She said Blue Springs travel agent Lisa Philpott of 3 Suns Cruise and Tours took money from the nearly 50-member wedding group starting last August, but claims she failed to book flights or resort reservations for many of them.
“She went through a lot of trouble just to lie to us about going. The struggle of everyone trying to get there with them on their wedding day, you know the one day every girl dreams of,” Waters said.
FOX 4 went to Philpott s house to see if she d talk with us. There was a car in the driveway, but no one answered the door. We also left two voice mails and a text message for two phone numbers listed for Philpott.
The couple says the group spent about $40,000 on this trip collectively. FOX 4 searched the Better Business Bureau website and couldn t find any information about 3 Suns Cruise and Tours travel agency or Lisa Philpott.

i rather doubt people are going to trust many travel agents after reading about this experience! Sad for the couple , but it looks like they have kept their good spirits in tact. Hope there is help getting back the monies.
