Tuscany is story-book beautiful... rolling hills of verdant green blanketed in vines just dripping with grapes. We stayed diplomat hotel florence italy in a lovely villa in Cortona, built in the late 1500's, with a stunning view of the surrounding countryside. The food was incomparable. Simple, and utter, perfection. The winery tours were fantastic. Very educational, and most were topped off with fabulous multi-course meals replete with perfect pairings. I relive this memorable trip each time I open a bottle of one of the wonderful wines I was introduced to in Tuscany. I am looking forward to exploring some of the best wines the U.S. has to offer in 2014. Save me a spot for Napa, Myrna!
