A man and a woman were found dead at the luxury Scotsman Hotel in the Scottish capital at 12.15pm and detectives have not ruled out suicide. The sixth floor of the hotel was evacuated and a cordon was placed outside the hotel entrance near the historic Royal Mile area of Scotland. A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Inquiries are at an early stage and the deaths are being treated as unexplained at this time." The busy holiday season has begun as thousands flock to Edinburgh for the popular Fringe Festival which officially starts tomorrow.
