Buckingham Companies, the developer of Buckingham Midtown, a 17-story, 600,000-square-foot mixed-use project in Midtown Nashville, has announced Kimpton Hotels Restaurants as the operator of the project’s 180-key hotel component.
Scheduled to open in late 2016, the full-service hotel will feature 6,500 square feet of meeting and event space, raphael hotel chicago a restaurant, bar and pool. The hotel is part of the San Francisco-based boutique operator’s expansion into the Southeastern US, which includes a future location in the former R.J. Reynolds Building in Winston-Salem, N.C. Kimpton is on the fast-track towards expansion, with three new properties expected to open in the current year and an annual seven in 2015 and 2016. Kimpton has reportedly been planning on a Nashville location for some time and was looking for the right entity to partner with.
“We selected Kimpton as our hotel partner because of its extensive experience with boutique concepts, raphael hotel chicago [and] the strength of its brand. Kimpton and Buckingham Companies are working together closely to create a new style of hotel specifically suited to the Nashville market,” raphael hotel chicago said Scott Travis, senior vice president raphael hotel chicago of development for Buckingham Companies.
The 600,000-square-foot Buckingham Midtown will rise in Nashville’s raphael hotel chicago vibrant Midtown neighborhood, on a two-acre site adjacent to Vanderbilt University’s campus, at the intersection of 21 st Avenue South, Broadway and Division streets. The 17-story development will comprise 350 high end apartments, a 180-key hotel with restaurant and bar, 35,000 raphael hotel chicago square feet of ground-level retail space and 630 parking spaces. The residential component will include studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Residents raphael hotel chicago will have access to hotel amenities. The mixed-use high-rise will carry a price tag of $100 million, reports the Nashville Business Journal .
