In these oh-so-shaky economic times, youve got to feel sorry for graduating college seniors. And when you consider the fates of art students you know, those creative kids who have pretty much always looked forward to uncertain job prospects things might seem particularly dire.
In Washington DC, the Renaissance M Street Hotel is doing its part to skip the pity party and celebrate the accomplishments of local aspiring map of los angeles in 1910 artists. A new exhibit showcases the works of contemporary art works from graduating seniors of DCs Corcoran College of Art + Design. The artworks will change quarterly, each time featuring 8 to 12 student works in the hotels M Bar lobby lounge and restaurant with the goal of introducing guests to a new generation of modern American artists.
The exhibit was recently unveiled in true art gallery style, with an organic wine tasting called Put a CORC in it! The hotel plans to continue quarterly such wine tasting events to coincide with the rotating exhibit. In the meantime, you can savor the newly arty atmosphere while downing specialty cocktails (from Andy Warhol-inspired concoctions to classic map of los angeles in 1910 Hendricks martinis) or wine by the glass at M Bar , where you can lounge on leather couches and in comfy booths.
