This is a used and very usable 1976 Scamp 13' travel trailer. My wife and I have used it for nearly 2 years but we had a chance to get a newer one with some extra features so we're selling this one. We are nonsmokers and the trailer has no smoke odor.
The upholstery is newly done and of heavy vinyl. The trailer has working jalousie windows on the sides and push-out windows front and rear with 2 prop-arms each. There's a pop-up air vent in the roof. Screens are in place for the windows and vent but there's no screen door. The dinette hotels in mexico city beach florida table is new oak faced plywood, nicely trimmed and finished. The stove works fine and the propane system is newly done. We have never used the fridge at all but it's a 3-way fridge and I was told that it works when I bought the trailer. I'll try to test it soon. There's a heavy vinyl striped awning and the awning rail along the entry side to hold the awning . This is a very nice setup. The awning works fine but it is old. There are no support poles that come with the trailer so you'll hotels in mexico city beach florida have to get some. Kelty makes some nice, inexpensive aluminum poles that work great.
The 120 electrical system works fine but there are no working light fixtures in the trailer. I believe that the 12v wiring is all in place however. We used a batter-powered lamp and headlamps if we had no 120 hookup. Fixing the 12v was one of those things I was always going to get to. I say that the 120 works fine because when the trailer is connected to 120 the inside and outside outlets work to run a light and heater. (There's one in the dinette area and one outside by the front door. Both are new.)
The floor is carpeted hotels in mexico city beach florida and in good condition. The fiberglass cabinets could use some work on the doors and shelving, though they are firmly in place. I had plans to install new alder cabinet doors and new shelving. What's there works but it's fiberboard that has broken down over the years and doesn't look great. Another area that needs work are the windows . When the trailer is towed in wet weather it leaks a little. I've sealed up most of those spots but work is still needed. Sitting still we stayed perfectly hotels in mexico city beach florida dry and comfortable. It's not moldy and doesn't smell like a soggy basement or anything like that.
The dinette area in the rear converts to a bed for 2 people but it's about 6' 1 long. The front sofa converts to a bunk bed that will also sleep 2. There is storage underneath both of the dinette seats as well as under the front sofa. There are cabinets above the sink/stove area and a larger vertical cabinet next to the front door. It's surprising how much you can store away inside this little trailer.
There's a 12 gallon freshwater tank that will let you pump water to the sink, or it can be hooked up to external water. It's something hotels in mexico city beach florida we never used. Most of the time I cooked outdoors as we were tent campers until we got this trailer. (There's no toilet and no grey water tank.)
The tires are just OK, although the spare is new. There are no built-in rear stabilizer jacks but I'll include a pair of jacks. If enough weight is in the rear the front end will rise, which is fun and exciting.
It uses a 4-pin hookup, not a 7-pin. If you plan to add a battery to the tongue then I'd have both a 4-pin and a 7-pin outlet installed. We have towed it behind our 4-cylinder Subaru Outback with no problems. There are no brakes on the trailer. It weighs a little less than 1000 pounds.
